We chose an early check-in time of 3pm, Sunday, only one hour ahead of regular check-in time. The house was not ready so we had to leave and come back, 4:30. The house was not clean, streamer remnants taped to walls, dead balloons, cigarette butts, broken threshold,dirty pee stained sheets and more. The pool area looked untouched, pool not cleaned and pump was not on. After a ten hour drive with 9 children in our party, we were looking forward to pool time. I called the host to ask about the pool being dirty, they said it was just leaves from a damaged screen above the pool. It wasn’t just leaves.. the bottom of the pool was green and brown. The hosts said they would send someone out immediately to clean the pool. The pool cleaner did not arrive until late Monday afternoon, cleaned and put chemicals in the pool, told my daughter that it was safe to swim after two hours. Not safe, 4 kids have burnsHe also said the heater for the pool was on. She told him we did not want the heat on and we were not paying for that service. He said he was leaving it on. The host offered us the use of the outdoor grill at no charge for our trouble. However, once we got the code the grill would not work. I made the host aware of everything and took pictures to ensure we weren’t held responsible for damages that were there upon our arrival. Friday, checkout day, they tried to charge us for heating the pool. Very Disappointing.
