I stayed here for a week with my family and was completely embarrassed the house is nice but the furniture looks like it came from a junkyard and on top of everything else it was infested with roaches only two of the TVs worked all the other ones had no remote and then when we went out to sit by the pool we're being eaten alive by mosquitoes because the screen has a huge hole in it the grill has never been cleaned it was absolutely disgusting under it was a rug covered in mold the downstairs Master rooms bed almost killed me when I sat on the edge the whole mattress almost flipped on top of me but I must admit at least you guys sent someone out quick enough to fix that issue the worst was when we checked out we accidentally left a box of books that I paid close to 500 worth which we emailed, text, called you and you guys took forever to reply it was literally in a box that had my name and address on it we left it right behind the door so my guess was the maids came in saw it and put it where the bookshelf was finally when you guys got back to us you told us it wasn't there I drove 8 hours checked in a couple days later which was this time to look for myself and sure enough it was there I had to pay for one whole night just to get my property back which was not cool who wants to pay for one night in a place that's roach infested we rented here because we have before and the last house was amazing but NOT this one 100% disappointed! I will email you all of the videos we took!!

Not Terrible but Recommend Looking Elsewhere

I tend to not give bad reviews but people need to know more about this house. The good:- Pool area, privacy, and view out back is great.- Check in check out easy- Property Manager always answered phone calls and emails.- Cool setup.The bad:- The house is far from being “homey”- Traffic around this home was crazy in February. It seems like an up and coming area and infrastructure can’t handle. - property manager answers quickly but the irrigation sprinklers around the pool area ran 24 hours a day for 9 days. They constantly would say we have contacted whomever to fix it and they never fixed it. Wind would blow the cold sprinkler water onto us in the entire pool area and had to listen to it.- Hot tub should be labeled as warm tub. They will require you to pay extra for it only to find out it doesn’t run like a normal hot tub. Make sure to turn it on well before you want to get it in. They send you a long “disclosure” about how heated pools work. You can tell they have gotten complaints many times sending that. - All the furniture is very old and very worn out. The couches aren’t even comfortable to sit on anymore. The beds aren’t great and make lots of noise with the slightest movement. You can tell they don’t spend money on this house. - House needs a paint job. The trim in the inside looks dirty but mainly scuff marks appears. - Kitchen items are falling apart like pans.- Only has one blanket for whole house. House is poorly built and finished.

Comfy stay for 3 generations

Our extended family of 8 stayed here over the holidays and there was plenty of room. We especially liked the view from the pool/patio with tons of birds. We paid for heating the pool in December which was our folly. The pool table, foosball and ping pong were fun. The recliner in the living room was key for our 90-year-old patriarch. Location was convenient to shopping, dining etc. but very congested.

I deeply regret booking this property. While the space was large, the number of problems made our stay a nightmare. The spa, which was one of the main reasons we chose this property, was completely nonfunctional. The heated pool also didn’t work, despite being advertised as a key feature. To make matters worse, there was no running water in the kitchen, and the dishwasher was broken, making meal preparation impossible. When I contacted customer service, they hung up on me, showing a complete lack of professionalism. Maintenance claimed they came to address the issues, but no one ever showed up. Despite all of these problems, they refused to refund any of our money. To add insult to injury, they charged us for towels they claimed were missing. This was, without a doubt, the worst experience I’ve ever had. I wouldn’t recommend this property to anyone—save yourself the money and stress by booking elsewhere.

Scenic and peaceful

We had a truly relaxing stay at the Solterra resort home. Plenty of spacious bedrooms all with ceiling fans and extra pillows and blankets. The kitchen was well-appointed with a large pantry for storage. It even included a great blender and air fryer. Seating was comfortable and there was enough for our group of 11. There were also plenty of baby equipment for our 8 month old grandson. The high chair was left very clean. Only thing missing was a crib sheet for the playpen that we forgot to pack. Our favourite thing about this property was the pool area and scenic view. The pond behind the property gave us so much enjoyment as well as privacy. We would have rated the location higher if it wasn’t for the constant traffic getting in and out of the resort. But since the resort itself was so beautiful, we didn’t leave often enough for it to be a big problem. The resort - beautiful heated pools and lots of fun for all ages. Although quite restrictive as to children playing, not allowed balls or any toys in the pool. The food and beverage area was well-priced and quite good. A couple notes for improvement - yellow bedroom was hotter than the rest and mattress due for a refresh. We paid for the pool heat and pool was almost too hot. Any time we reached out to the management with any issues, the response was quick, friendly and efficient. We didn’t use any of the games in the garage as it was too hot to stay in there long.

Almost perfect

Property is located in a beautiful and very secure gated community. Was exactly as described in the advertisement. Furnished and dressed to a very high standard. Pool heat required some attention which was dealt with very promptly. Highly recommend.

Has potential but not well kept

The property location is beautiful, walking distance to clubhouse and sun exposure perfect for all day sun on pool (we stayed in September). Unfortunately, the inside of the house is not well kept and cleanliness is not a priority for management company. Particularly maintenance on plumbing is necessary as well as cleaning of all toilets and bathtubs. Layers of scum on bathtubs and toilets. This would be unpleasant for anyone but especially travelling with an infant. The house was dirty. No bugs but not well cleaned prior to arrival. Property management were fine to deal with prior to stay and before booking however, were not understanding upon arrival. We paid for pool heat months in advance of stay, followed up two weeks prior to arrival to ensure all was in place and when we arrived it was not heated. Notified property management right away, they continued to say it was, 3 days into stay they sent a technician to check who advised then pool was working right from day 1 ( not sure how the technician could advise on day 3 what was working on day 1) and they then charged us additional $100 USD for technician. Bottom line pool was not heated until 3 days in and they charged more. This is our 4th time staying in Solterra Resort (beautiful), and each time a different property. This is the only one of the four we’d never go back to nor would book through Shine Villas in the future. We have nothing to gain from this review only to make others aware of what to expect.

Overall, this was a lovely house and beautiful location. Personally I don’t think the pictures do it justice. So much to offer for a family with children and a lot of space.

Beware - Our family would never stay again

We had high hopes for a great family vacation 11/20/21-11/28/21 for the Thanksgiving break. Prior to arrival we asked for a 2pm check-in (4pm is the normal check-in time) and was told no unless we paid an additional night stay. Mind you there was no bookings for this property a couple days prior to our arrival. Upon check in, we walked into the master bedroom and was greeted with a strong smell of sewage and urine. We reported the smell and was told someone would come out the next day (11/21). After a long day at the parks, we were met with the same smell as no one came out to address the issue as promised. In addition to the sewage smell in the master bedroom/bathroom, we opened the dishwasher to find standing/stank water, old food, and a bad smell. We reported this to the management company, and they sent someone out the next afternoon (11/22). Someone did come out but none of the issues we resolved nor did the management company follow up to see if anything was resolved. Given this was a holiday week, we had 7 people in our group, spent a few days reporting issues, and could not find another place to stay - we sucked it up and stayed. I provided our bad stay feedback to management company (Greenway Property Management) with pictures after our stay and asked for a partial refund (I asked for a partial refund on 11/21 too). They told me NO. We are frequent travelers and travel the world. If you are looking for a great place to stay and enjoy family and friends in a nice house - this is not the place. We would never stay here on at any property managed by Greenway Property Management.

We enjoyed our stay at Splash of Magic. The games and the sleeping spaces and water park was a plus . The sheets were not clean upon arrival but that did not spoil our stay .
