„Friendly welcome. Comfortable rooms with air conditioning, a little dated in terms of decor, but clean and functional. Plenty of soft fluffy towels in the bathroom. We had a parking inclusive rate, the car park was pretty busy when we arrived but managed to get parked without issue. Good breakfast. „A beautiful Spa hotel with lovely amenties. The staff were so helpful. There were quite a few steps to negotiate in the Spa which was not good but, again, the staff were very helpful. Unfortunately the breakfast did not live up to the rest. The bacon looked pale and very uninteresting full of white stuff! The whole cooked breakfast was quite cold. Continental breakfast was good and varied. Teapots and milk jugs would stop a lot of walking about! Dinner was really good.“

"I expect more from a 4 star hotel. The room was lovely and spacious however confetti which was all over the grounds was also in our room. There are 3 lifts one is staff only, one is out of order which according to a frequent guest has been the case for 2 years!! Then they serviced the 3rd lift, leaving my 84 year old parents to negotiate very old wonky stairs, not ideal! We ate in the bar one night because i have my dog with me and the area seemed dated and unloved. The food was nice if served in a lack luster way. Again with breakfast the food was great but I can't imagine sitting in the bar to eat, the buffet is so far away my food would have been cold before I got to the table!! So we took it in turn to eat so one of us could stay with the dog. There is a small area to the left as you enter which could be used as a dog friendly area.... well away from the buffet, I see that often in other restaurants and hotels! The spa area was very pleasant and a welcome break to relax on our long journey. Also the location and grounds were lovely, sitting on the terrace in the early morning sun and quiet was also a highlight. In summary dated and unloved but a perfectly quiet and relaxing break from a long journey."
