« Ran by a wonderful couple who are really friendly and accommodating. The lodge is in a beautiful location and the facilities and room are lovely. Breakfast was included and we were asked beforehand what we wanted so it would be ready for the time we requested. And it tasted wonderful. Me and my girlfriend have visited here twice now and I'd greatly recommend a stay here. »

« The hotel is a very short distance from the M6, which makes it an ideal stop over. The accommodation was really comfortable with lovely restaurant and bar facilities. We were made most welcome by all members of staff. Food was well prepared and nicely presented. Will definitely pass details of this place to family and friends. »

« The staff were conspicuois by their absencr and the room facilities were badic withbonly one tea cup and no glasses - no good for taking medication. Also the TV was unusable. »

« The hotel is lovely. We arrived to find we had been upgraded from the snug to a double bedroom with a view which was lovely. But disappointed not to have a bath even after an upgrade though. There are a lot of stairs to get anywhere, which was fine but worth noting. There is access to the lake outside via a path and some stairs which is lovely. The spa was great but as they are doing some work on it the outside bit wasn't available. This was fine as we were alerted to this, but there were also...

« Because it’s an old property there isn’t enough plug sockets in the room & trying to do my hair without a mirror by a socket & somewhere to sit was pretty impossible So if your not bothered with this it’s a fine place to stay Missed fresh fruit at breakfast »
