I took my daughter and a few of her friends to spend a couple of days for her birthday. They range from age 17 to 18 and had a great time. They were able to swim and play at the different pools during the day and evening, hang out, and go to town for dinners. They even participated in a couple of the activities like bingo and karaoke. It was a perfect birthday.
The staff was overwhelmed during the check in process on this holiday weekend. Every guest was not treated the same. Only timeshare owners were given a welcoming acknowledgment. In the second room I usually book, there are usually two queen beds. When I called the front desk to see if there was another room available, they made it clear they do not accommodate people booking with a third party website. In addition, the pools were over crowded and people continued to walk on the golf course grass. Several times the staff had to escort people off the grass. Overall, this was NOT a relaxing getaway. I would definitely NOT stay here again.
We came to visit for our daughterâs competition and this is our 5th time staying at this property. There is a lot of space for families in the unit and the convenience of a kitchen and washer and dryer is great. It also looks like they have renovated the unit this year, and it looks great.
We had a wonderful time. We were very HAPPY with our room and the whole experience! My boyfriend loved the room as well, in fact, he didn't want to go home! We would definitely like to come back again this Summer!
Was headed to legoland and decide to go a few days early to spend time with family. When we arrived we weren't sure if we are at the right place as it was very luxurious. The check in process was smooth. The staff were very helpful and informative about the hotel. These where more like apartments with a kitchen and living room space. We got the 2 bd villa as it was a lot of family staying together and it fight all 6 of us well. Palm desert is very hot but with the AC running we did not feel it at all. We went down to the pool for a short time which was very spacious but did not stay long as my infant was getting fussy. All in all I will be staying here again and will recommend willrecommendanfamilyspacious and
This Marriott Shadow Ridge was a very nice place to stay, we'll be back again.
We previously stayed at Marriott Desert Springs and loved that too, but for those trying to decide which to stay at here are our feelings about both properties. We liked the pools much better at Shadow Ridge because of layout, designated adult pools and children pool areas.
Basically both these properties are the same with slight differences. The mountain views at Desert Springs was nicer. The condo layouts are exactly the same, however, we had a foam mattress in our room which my husband and I hated and slept terrible all week.
Golf course at Shadow Ridge was closed for overseeding, but the guys golfed elsewhere. They liked Desert Springs course but not their favorite. They really loved Desert Willow course.
We found it easier to walk the property at Desert Springs, all the sidewalks were clean and easy, while at Shadow Ridge some of the walkways were stone/gravel and in some areas we had to take to the street to meet back up with a concrete sidewalk. Not as safe for older folks with mobility issues.
My husband and I as well as our two young children (11m and 3yo) had the pleasure of staying here in May. The grounds were beautiful and well taken care of. The pools were fantastic and clean. Our kids had a blast! We loved the shade that is provided at the pools as well, as this is very important with small children. The staff was very accommodating and helpful during our time there. Our flight out had been cancelled and we required an extra night stay. We were able to stay another night in another unit. As for the units themselves, you can see their age however this is not something that bothered us. The rooms were extremely clean and were stocked with everything we needed. The location is wonderful. It is very close to a few grocery stores and fast food/restaurants. It is also an easy drive to a few must sees in the area like The Living Desert and El Paseo and an easy drive from the airport. It was not overly busy during our stay which was nice. As an added touch, we arrived on Mother's Day and the front desk were handing out roses to the Moms checking in. We will most definitely be returning.
The stay was amazing, loved everything about the property. Would absolutely stay again. Any questions about the property it was much easier to contact the resort itself than the property manager. Contact between the manager and me was terrible, they were non-responsive. Other than that it was great!
We had 8 guests, 2 families of 4. Both with children between the ages of 4-8 years old. There was plenty of room, a nice kitchen and balcony. Highly recommended
Soccer tournament in Indio for my 15 y/o. Took the family, four total. We rented adjoining rooms for a pretty big space. Two kings and two pullout couches. Kitchen was small but it had all the equipment. Also had a special guest visit from Vegas. Plenty of room.
Pools and hot tubs across street were convenient. Outdoor yard games kept kids entertained for hours. Easy checkin and checkout. Close to lots of site seeing.
The only negative was parking. Each building had limited spots (at least in our section). More rooms than available parking spots so if you tried parking later in the evening you would have to go to another building to find parking, or park in the street. Also the car ports had large concrete footings for the supports, 3 ft tall X 2 ft diameter, making it difficult to park. By all the paint marks on them, it appears a lot of vehicles have rubbed up against them over the years.
Overall great experience and would stay there again.
