REVIEW I was torn between giving this place a 5 or a 1. Here's why:The house was spectacular. Newer, good quality furniture, lots of room, spotlessly clean, big screen TV (though I did miss a TV in the bedroom) two en suites, even the garage had been converted to a game room with a ping-pong table! And the yard included 3 secluded dining areas plus a separate lounging area with fire pit. The pool was deep and the spa hot and clean. It seemed perfect!Except... it was only about half a mile from the Palm Springs airport. Almost under the flight path for take offs.True, air operations ceased between about 10 at night and 6am, but during daytime they were frequent. One afternoon I tried to have a conversation outside and had to stop talking about every five minutes to let the roar of the jet engines pass.To be fair, before I rented I noticed the proximity to the airport and queried the property management about this, and they acknowledged there could be noise. They said some renters found it bothersome, others not.So, there you have it: even with the noise I enjoyed our stay and I gave it a 5. My wife not so much. She wanted the 1.
