Worst rental experience. I specifically rented this unit because of the view for my 88 yo Dad who is not very mobile, so he could sit on the porch and enjoy the view. However, view was blocked by scaffolding on the porch. I would have never rented this unit if I knew about the blocked view. I contacted the management company, 30A Escapes & asked if we could move units and get a refund. They told me they would have someone reach out to me, 5 hours and no response. Since no-one ever contacted me I called 30A Escapes first thing Sunday, they said it’s Sunday, they couldn’t get anyone to respond to approve us moving to another property. We were stuck staying at this unit. To top off our NO view experience, floors were filthy & I cleaned up trash off the porch. I sent pictures to 30A Escapes & they just said oh sorry but no action. The morning we were to check out, two non English speaking workers showed up ON the porch at 8:30AM, and would not leave. I again contacted the management company, 30A Escape, and they said they would contact High Point management. Yet again, no action, the workers kept climbing up and down the scaffolding making our blocked view even worse. 30A Escapes offered a 200 credit, this was nominal considering our vacation had been ruined. If you are renting thru VRBO beware of 30A Escapes management company. In my over 25 years of renting thru VRBO, I have never had such a horrible experience. Very poor management and rude staff.
