Aussie Bush and Beach Relaxation

Had a wonderful stay in this 4 bed home with large kitchen, dining, sitting area. Very comfortable and a short stroll to the rugged beach. Visiting family members from the UK loved all the birds, kangaroos, and local koala.

Very relaxing

We had a lovely relaxing week. Hilary and Andrew are gracious hosts and very accommodating. The house has a relaxing atmosphere and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would most certainly go back again.

Comfortable in the middle of the wilderness

The property had everything we needed. We enjoyed meeting wildlife outside the house and you feel close to nature when you wake up with the birds singing. The house is big, comfortable with enough seating places to keep us all together.

Lovely house, beautifully laid out, everything excellent. Owners very helpful and responsive. Wonderful huge living area. A special bonus - the main dining table is absolutely perfect for cards - wooden and smooth - the cards slide perfectly !

Perfect dog friendly escape

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The house was very clean and well equipped with everything we needed. It's in a peaceful, relaxing location — perfect for a quiet getaway. One of our favourite things was sitting on the balcony, enjoying the sounds of lorikeets in the trees. The yard was safe and secure for our dog, which gave us great peace of mind. There's also a general store nearby in Paradise Beach with a surprisingly good range of essentials. Overall, it's the perfect place to unwind and escape from the hustle and bustle. Highly recommended!

A little piece of Paradise in Paradise Beach!

We have spent a lot of time in different properties in the Paradise Beach Golden Beach area but have to say, this gorgeous place is the best we've found! Great spacious living areas, beautifully furnished and styled, amenities aplenty, lovely outside entertaining space with a wonderful long verandah overlooking the native flora & fauna (and birds & roos!) and a fully fenced yard that our pooches absolutely loved. Thanks so much Hilary & Andy, we loved our stay and will definitely be back!

A little peace and quiet

This is the second time we’ve stayed here. We loved it so much last year we had to come back. Everything is just so easy here. Paradise Beach is beautiful in winter and so quiet. There’s plenty of wildlife around. We enjoy having the beach to ourselves. Hilary and Andy’s house is such a lovely place to stay. I can’t recommend it highly enough. We’re already looking forward to coming back next year.

Re-charge the batteries at Paradise Beach

My 2 dogs, adult daughters and granddaughter had a very happy and comfortable stay. The house had EVERYTHING we needed, and more. Kangaroo and bird watching from the deck were exciting activities that did not go unrewarded. Mark had told us about a market at Golden Beach which we attended and left with many purchases. I felt extremely relaxed with the excellent fencing around the property so my dogs could play and explore. Thanks for the use of your beautiful house for the Easter weekend.

Paradise Beach is Paradise

We had the best time at Paradise Beach. Hillary and Andy were super helpful with our booking and the house was absolutely fantastic for our group, accommodating 2 families of 4. The open plan living, bedrooms, warm fire place and garden were perfect and so close to the beach. The weather was amazing for winter and we have quite a few beach days, even a couple of very quick swims in the ocean. We saw seals and dolphins each time we went for walks. We will definitely be back and would stay at this house again! Thanks Hillary and Andy.

Evaluating our entire experience

We (family of 5 with x3 young teens) travel a lot and it’s not often that we would feel the need to write a review as most stays have been sub optimal. During our recent stay here, we found the arrival instructions to be clear and precise, that is no issue with locating everything before and after entry. The property is kept in better shape than at home and for us first impressions count! Everything we needed and more for a four day stay. The location is quite but accessible to walking tracks, the famous 90-Mile beach (5min walk) and bike trails. If we had to sum up our stay at this beautiful rental property, it would be beyond expectations and would not hesitate to come back for a longer stay. For the next group to stay here, it won’t disappoint 👌

This beautiful holiday home is so graciously set up by the owners! You feel so welcomed by them via messages and communication is always open if any issues arise, which there were none, but they were just so open to be there if needed It’s very comfortable, plenty of comfy couch space for the whole family, beds were comfy, the front room has a lovely ensuite, you’ve got no worries at all about staying warm or cool as it heats up and cools down well with their split system, we didn’t get to use the wood fire wasn’t that cold, but an added beautiful option to have! Kitchen is so spacious with the added bonus of an induction stove top! Heats up so quickly and soooo easy to clean! You have the added benefits of a sandwich press and proper coffee machine with coffee bean grinder, dishwasher and everything just works so well!The whole house is just set up so well, and the setting is gorgeous with bush land around and wildlife galore, kangaroos, rabbits and rosellas that come to their bird eater with seeds provided in their cupboard.If you truly want a relaxed and refreshing time away, this is the place!! With visits to the beach so close and being able to hear the distant waves in bed at night was a special childhood memory for me spending so much of my childhood at Harmers Haven, Wonthaggi.Also the option of being able to have our 2 dogs with us just meant so much, so just another great and special option the owners are good enough to allow!We’ll be back-5 stars from us!

Great get away

Thank you to Hilary & Andy for such a wonderful family weekend away. A great home that had everything you could need. Wood heater heated the house up so well & was lovely to sit by of a night time. Andy’s information regarding the property & ‘how to’ with things was informative & made the stay easier knowing how things worked. We would highly recommend staying here, we will definitely be back.
