„The house was lovely and cosy and really well maintained. There was wood for a lovely warm fire and great kitchen facilities. There were 3 couples staying and it was a perfect house for us and close to our friends great restaurant The Good Food Providers and the rest of the cute shops.“

The location is very scenic and convenient for local towns and villages, whilst being in quiet and peaceful nature. It was wonderful to see so many kangaroos, which required careful driving in the evening. We thorougly enjoyed our stay and felt very relaxed and restored.“

„Hawthorne Cottage is a lovely house with every facility. It is very comfortable, with a good kitchen and facilities. Set high up on the hill overlooking Guildford, it has beautiful views, and is so peaceful. The weather was not cold enough to light the fire, but would be very cosy during winter.We plan to book there again as soon as we can plan another visit.It is so close to Castelmaine and Daylesford - our favourite parts of central western Victoria.Janine is a most attentive and responsive ...

„On arrival after a 7 hour drive we opened the door of this quaint hideaway and were frozen by the chill factor. The split reverse cycle heater was of little help in warming the space and the wood fire was wood free. After a trip into Castlemaine we returned with 15kg of wood, fire starters and kindling at a cost of $40.
