« Our host, Lizzie, was warm, friendly and very helpful, offering local insights on good places to eat and activities to consider. Really tasty breakfast too! »
« Friendly and hospitable hosts, and delicious breakfasts. Helpful recommendations for nearby places to eat and a communal sitting area for reading or socializing with other guests. Outside decking area also available for relaxing when the weather cooperates. »
« Service is friendly and impeccable. The food is superb and much of it is grown on site in the kitchen garden (daily tours available). We had a birthday dinner party for 12 adults in the Garden Room and we were looked after incredibly well. Lovely scenery at no extra charge! Hugely recommended. Best to stay in the main hotel if you can rather than the wagons or sheds. »
« no internet acces in my room. Sorted within 5 minutes by getting an new room, upgraded, with internet connection. Great service. could spend a nice evening »
« A Great pub. Caution if you wish to use the dine on a Wednesday and get your 20% off as you apparently need to pay on the night it can not be added to your room.. Costly error! »
« Great hotel with pub and restaurant, in a tudor building from the 1700s. The staff were excellent, super friendly and gave me a lot of information about the area, things to do. Only drawback is that due to the age of the building there was a bit of noise from other rooms »
« My friend and I were looking for a base to explore the historic towns, houses and gardens of this area, and struck lucky with this hotel. We were impressed by the pleasantly relaxed atmosphere, the quality of the food, the variety of dining and bar areas and the comfortable, well-maintained and quiet rooms (no audible traffic noise). Staff were friendly and helpful. Recommended. »
