A really perfect place to land as a family of five on our first trip to Paris. Spacious and quiet accomodation to manage jet lag from and great convenient location for taking in the Paris vibe - we utilized nearby restaurants and cafes for meal, metro for activities and easy access to the Sienne for walking/running out of the hustle and bustle.

First off the location is fantastic…..great bars and restaurants around every corner.The Place des Vosges and the Picasso Museum are a fairly short walk away, and a little further afield are the Louvre and Musée d’Orsay and all that St Germain des Pres has to offer.Happily we found that the Batobus stops by the Hotel de Ville (very close by), so another box ticked.The flat itself was great and ideal for our group. Parents in one double, 3 kids sharing another room, and granny in the third.I’m glad we found it as it suited us perfectly for a 5 day trip.

We had a great stay in Le Marais at this apartment. It was clean, so quiet and a good rest stop after long days out in Paris! The beds were comfortable, which we haven’t always experienced in Europe, and nice to have two showers for a family with two teenagers. The location is excellent, close to many great Cafes, shopping and just around the corner from boulangeries, pâtisseries, fromagerie and groceries. The host was very responsive when we had questions and flexible to us when needed. The one thing we’d recommend is to add some instructions in the apartment on how to run the appliances as we took some time to figure these out, and never really got the hang of the washer/dryer (which we appreciated having!) overall we enjoyed the stay!

Part of a family gathering.

Our extended family of seven adults and eight children traveled to Paris for a one week holiday to explore the city. We stayed in this apartment and two others in the same apartment building so that we would be able to visit with each other easily. The location was central, five minute walk from Pompidou, ten minutes from Picasso and fifteen from Notre Dame. It was also close to the Metro. The apartments were clean and spacious and well maintained. They were comfortable and nicely arranged giving us space to arrange the clutter of eight children. Our hosts, Ico and Baltazar, were there to meet us and were very responsive to our needs, appearing quickly when needed, cheerful and helpful. The air-conditioning kept us comfortable in the midst of a 100 degree heat wave. There were many restaurants in the area as well as bakeries and small grocery stores. There were also a variety of places to get interesting take out meals. Thankfully none of them were McDonalds or Starbucks. For our family adventure, these apartments were perfect. And any one of them would be perfect for a smaller family.

The good: The location is very central, in the heart of Le Marais. The access was clear. Good communication with owner.The apartment did have 3 bedrooms. Beds are comfortable. The not so good:The apartment is old with very cheap furniture and a super basic kitchen with a tiny fridge. Sofa was awful. It has only one toilet and a very small living/dining kitchen setup. The floor paint is peeling and the laundry machine was hard to operate. It is weird walking on concrete - like a hospital. For large groups that just want three full bedrooms and a place to crash this is fine. If you are a family looking for a luxury apartment in Paris with nice washrooms and kitchen, comfortable living etc this is not that. The online pictures are very deceiving.

Good stay, well located

Three nice big bedrooms. Nice and clean. Comfortable beds.We chose this place as it was wheelchair accessible and centrally located. The corridor is nice and wide for getting around and the accessible bathroom was good.The only small problem was that the main door from the building to the street is raised at the bottom so was difficult with the wheelchair, my mother in law had to get out so we could push the wheelchair over it, but we managed this.

This is a very nice centrally located apartment. It was clean and near cafes, restaurants, grocery stores and museums. The owner was very responsive. As we are from the U.S., we were confused about the 1 and 1/2 bathroom description. We didn’t realize there were two showers and one toilet until after we had booked the apartment. However, we knew about the issue before we arrived due to the reviews. I do wish that due to the length of our stay, we were given more coffee pods. Other than the two minor issues noted above, we enjoyed our stay. Rooms are large size, beds are comfortable and the apartment is in a quiet, nice residential building.

Only 1 toilet

The listing for this property is unclear and misleading. In our planning we THOUGHT we were deciding between the cost of getting 2 hotel rooms (each with a bathroom) or a VRBO with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. After looking over the reviews again, I see the toilet issue is raised more than once, but often buried at the bottom which is why I am putting it at the top of my review. “Room & Beds” section indicates: “Bathroom 1: toilet-shower only” and “Bathroom 2: toilet” “About the Property” section description as “1.5 full bathrooms (one full bathroom and another one with shower)” In the US, “Bathroom” means “a room containing at least a toilet and basin and bathtub or shower” No toilet = NOT a bathroom by US standards. A “full bathroom” means toilet, sink, shower and bathtub; a “1/2 bathroom” is toilet and sink. Bathroom 1 has NO TOILET but a sink and shower. Bathroom 2 has a toilet and a shower, no bathtub. This was a significant misunderstanding for our family. A primary reason we picked this property was because it presented as 2 bathrooms (aka 2 toilets) It has a minimally appointed efficiency kitchen (microwave but no oven, 2 burner stove). With the cement floors and spartan decor, it has a distinct “youth hostel” feel about it. The location was convenient and quiet. The host was quick to respond. We weren’t familiar with radiator heaters and sent a message asking how to turn down the heat. A colleague was there to help within 15-20 minutes.

Pleasant experience, good value

The neighborhood was lovely, clean, and picturesque. There were bakeries, grocery stores, and fruit stands very close by. We took the metro everywhere and were a reasonable walk from many different metro lines. We didn't see much nightlife (but we weren't on the lookout for it, either). We felt very safe in the apartment, which was behind a locked door to a courtyard as well as having its own lock. The apartment was very clean and came with all necessary linens, etc. Bedrooms and bathrooms were as advertised, and the pictures were a fair representation of the property. The 2nd bathroom had a shower and sink but no toilet. This did minimize its usefulness somewhat. There was a (small/European) washing machine but no dryer. The radiators kept the apartment comfortably warm. We had no problems with the Wi-Fi even with six devices connected simultaneously. The hosts responded in a very reasonable time frame to all our questions. A good value for the price.

Perfect for family stay in Paris

This property was excellent! The host was responsive to my emails and helpful in accommodating our needs. The apartment was clean and comfortable with enough space for our family of five. The property is perfectly located, a short walk to the Siene, several Metro stops, unique shops and cafes. It couldn’t have been any better.

Very good location, but lacking on the bathroom side

While the property is located in a very good location, the property felt more like a converted office space than a residence. The bedrooms and beds were fine, but the description of having two bathrooms is misleading, as most would expect this to have two toilets and two showers. The property only has one toilet, which makes it challenging for anyone with more than 3 or 4 people. Also, one of the bathroom shower's feels like a high school gym locker room shower (concrete, with only a shower curtain). The water spills onto the floor and the bathroom has a moldy smell.

Spacious, but spartan

We recommend the property for families because of the space (it has two showers, but only one toilet) and its location (there are nearby restaurants, bakeries and shops). The property was spacious, but it's not luxurious. The TV didn't have live television available. When I raised the issue, the "host" suggested for me to find tutorials on YouTube on how to fix the issue. The "host" is very prompt in their communications whenever contacted.
