We booked a quick trip to Parker, primarily needing a place to sleep while enjoying a weekend full of activities. The property had good ratings, a king bed, and a competitive price. The host was communicative before check-in, and the process was seamless.After arriving late at night, we noticed several issues. One master bedroom sink had a clogged drain, and the other had very low water pressure. The shower also had water backing up, and the second bathroom appeared unclean with hair in it.In the morning, we found rodent droppings throughout the house, including on the couch, kitchen counter, and stove, along with chewed earplugs on the floor. Because of this, we opted to skip breakfast and go out instead. We took pictures and planned to provide feedback to the host later.That evening, the smoke detector began beeping, indicating a low battery, but we couldn’t find a replacement on-site. After checking out, I drafted a message to the host to address these concerns and sent out the message after we had checked out, during our drive back home. I was surprised by the host's hostile tone and lack of consideration in his reply. He accused me of making illegitimate claims and of taking advantage of the system. I replied with 'OK' because I wasn't going to argue, then submitted a claim. This was my first time using and booking with Vrbo, and most likely my last.
