Our room had 3 queen beds. It was clean but had a slightly weird smell. Breakfast was decent.

This is the second time staying st this hotel over a 2 year period simply because their are not many options in Perham. It has gone down hill even farther. Staff other than the manager is new (again) and cannot figure out how to use expedia at check in. You are given 2 keys...one for your room and the other for the outside doors. Guess what, none of the outside doors work except the front door to the building so very inconvenient. Carpets are ripped, you can hear every word said in rooms and hallways next to you. Television both times I have stayed have lines in every channel as if they have not figured out how to hook up a cable system yet. Don't bother trying to go get coffee at the front at breakfast because they put out 1 pot and then do not refill it. Motel is in dire need of an upgrade which looks like it was last done when originally built in the early 80's. I do not recommend this place to any family staying.

We have installed all new windows and just got the new door locks in a few weeks ago. They are still working on some of them. We have all new flooring and furniture on order. We also hope to be doing some fun things for outside. We hope that you will come back and see how much has changed.

Friendly accommodating staff but poorly trained
We went to Perham for a funeral and we weren't sure we would want to drive back home the same day so we booked a room a few days in advance. After the funeral we decided to try and drive home so i called and tried to cancel the room. The employee said no problem, Then I heard another employee in the background directing him on what to say. He then apologized and said he was new and if I canceled the room they would have to charge me anyway. I then told him nevermind and that we would be there to check in that evening. When I got there to check in I was charged about $15 more than I had booked the room for. I asked why and the employee said it was because I called to cancel.. ?... So apparently they had actually canceled my room and put in a new reservation when I got there. The cleanliness of the room i was put in was not up to par so we asked to be moved to a different room and that room was the same way. The employee at the desk was nice and wecwere tired so we just dealt with it. The next morning the manager was at the desk and he was extremely professional and understanding. He refunded my money without me even asking. I feel like they could be a good place if they had their front desk employees trained properly and also properly trained housekeepers. The walls in the rooms looked like they had never been wiped down. The bathtubs were dirty and there were crumbs everywhere. Neither one of the refrigerators or microwaves had been wiped out.. etc...etc...

Was an okay place for the night. Pillows are great! This is always a bonus for me. And the staff member who checked us in was amazing!! Give that guy a raise. Wish I could remember his name but we checked in September 30 afternoon and I didn't write his name down cuz I thought I'd remember. Hotel definitely needs some updating, but for the price, it worked for us. We would stay again.

Half hour for check in. No room keys available. Room floor not vacuumed. Wore white athletic sox and bottoms were black from walking on floor. Ragged carpet. Bathroom clean. Bed comfortable. Breakfast OK. Would not recommend. Whole place needs cleaning and updating.

the front counter was away from desk for over 10 minutes on a Friday night cleaning a room. My room key did not work, so the staff had to open the door for me and I could not leave. they said 9 rooms are that way. Bed was messy, possibly dirty linens. Very high likelihood the counter person was high (red haired man)

The outside was good, clean and flowers good. The room was musty and the carpet was damp. The bathroom floor had hair and a q tip from the previous tenant. The free breakfast waffle was good. I had to go into cabinets looking for utensils and wow what a mess. Food loose in the cabinets.

The room was very humid despite AC; bed was full size, not the queen size we paid for; guest book says $10/night pet fee but we were charged $25/night; dirty maid cart outside our room overnight (though we were able to get a roll of toilet paper from it because there was none in the bathroom); Wi-Fi kept cutting out.

Patricia, we apologize for these inconveniences. We understand we have things to work on and we are actively doing so. We are newly under new management and ownership and are under renovation of the whole motel. Not worth the time to stay
We were told our room was ready to check in. Upon getting into our room, we found dirt & gravel in the bathroom & on the carpets. I went to the front desk to request a better cleaning. Waited for sometime, but no one showed up, so I found a vacuum & did it myself. I was also lucky to have cleaning wipes along & wipes down the furniture. It didn’t look like anything had been done in the room for a long time. There was also a chunk cut out of the carpet that looked like the shape of an iron. There was coffee & cups in the room, but no coffee maker. The room also had a damp musty smell. Won’t stay there again!

The staff was pleasant but the room needs updating soon. There is a recliner in the room but I refused to sit on it.

Go there to check in find out your room is still nasty dirty and your key don't work been trying to get a refund for how many days through Expedia and them having a hard ass time

Hi Nicole, we are sorry to hear about your unsatisfactory stay with us. Please know that we are newly under new management and ownership and are renovating our whole motel. We know we have things to work on and we are actively doing so. However, in regards to being sent to a dirty room, that is very uncharacteristic of us, and I will talk to our staff about this to avoid it from happening again. We sincerely apologize, and hope that if your travels bring you to the Perham area again, you will give us another chance and check out all the improvements! When we got there they gave us a room and when we went in the floor wasn’t vacuumed Therecwas food left in the refrigerator We requested another room and they gave us one Partly because there was only 1 bed and because we felt it wasn’t clean The new room was slightly better but had to go ask for pillowcases because the pillows on 1 bed didn’t have any It smelled of mildew There was no other place to go or we would have Never again Very run down I felt sorry for the employees They seemed run ragged

Dirty
Room was disgusting, the bathroom floor was dirty the toilet had hairs on it. The carpet was tore up and dirty. We have always stayed at this hotel and this is the worse it has been. Check out was 11 and at 10 I had a knock on the door from housekeepers seeing if we were gone yet and the same thing at 10:30.

Rough around the edges
When I arrived, the hotel was not able to provide me with a key to my room because their system was not working, so they opened the room for me and I had to move my things in without locking doors. I stayed locked in for the night because I could not come and go. I was woken by housekeeping (after a rough night of sleep) at 7:45 am. The rest of the check in and out went fine, but the state of the hotel was not great.

The room was smelly, like stale cigarette smoke and it didn't have a smoke detector in the room. Overall, the facility was quite rundown.

I know, you get what you pay for but come on! No shower curtain, toe nails on the carpet and hair on the bathroom floor. The staff was mostly rude, including the woman who told me I could only get an extra towel if I brought my dirty ones to her. Two towels for two people for a 3 day stay. Our room key stopped working on the second day - luckily at that time a rude employee was at the desk. Stay ANYWHERE but here when in Perham.

thought the hotel was an excellent place to stay, Would absolutely stay there again. Could use a little paint in the room we stayed in. Had a large water stain on the ceiling and we stayed on the main floor
