Do NOT trust the photographs
If you’re looking for a place just to sleep but not hang out in, this is probably going to be okay for you. But if you like to spend time in a place (hang out, eat breakfast or another meal) this most definitely is not it.The pictures are deceiving, given they show the drapes open. All of the windows open into a weird brick alcove, with junk all over, except in one bathroom, where you can get a small view of an alley and a street. The apartment itself is on the second floor, in a tiny hallway just off a basketball court, behind a door leading to a smaller hallway with a blind corner that brings you to an emergency exit. (Perfect scene-of-the-crime movie location). The beds in all but one room block access to at least one of the closets. (The apartment seems to be set up for large groups of people. Two of the rooms have two larger beds in them. which means one *has* to block the closet.)The building itself is on a busy main street and is located directly across the street from Philly’s Family Court, a very uninspiring view. No restaurants other than a small taco shop, nothing else (grocery store, deli, sign of life) nearby.Oh! Make sure to bring your own hair dryer. We checked out a day early because the place was just depressing. Sign in and sign out are all via online, not a person or a person’s voice involved. Not complicated. Worked ok.However, one saving grace: the staff in the building were exceptionally friendly and helpful!!
