We truly appreciated our stay and especially want to highlight how wonderful Josh was as a host. He was kind, informative, friendly, and very available whenever we had questions. His communication made our stay easy and pleasant.The location of the property was also perfect and very convenient, which we greatly appreciated.That said, there are a few property-related issues we feel are important to share so they can be addressed for future guests.The leather couches in the living room are in significant disrepair. The faux leather is completely worn away in both the seat and back areas to the point that the couches appear unusable. Unfortunately, because of their condition, we didn’t feel comfortable sitting in the living room at all.The pots and pans were also in poor condition. Several had severely scratched or worn-off nonstick coating, and one pan still had food residue on it when found in the cabinet.The shower heads were very low quality, and while the water pressure was adequate, it could be greatly improved with upgraded fixtures.Lastly, the steps leading up to the back door are very dark and not well lit. My husband nearly fell because it was difficult to see the steps at night. This is a safety concern and could easily be remedied with proper lighting.Many of these issues are fairly simple fixes. If replacing the couches isn’t an option, inexpensive sofa covers would make a big difference. New shower heads and proper lighting on the back steps would also help.

Perfect Location.

Great cabin. Pictures are alittle outdated, location is alittle more ran down, but nothing to ruin a trip. Locations is PERFECT to both PF and Gatlinburg. Very convenient to jump on the parkway. You may hear kids playing from other cabins but only when your outside. Internet is slow or non exsitient at times. Josh warns ya. Works best upstairs bedroom. Easy access for check in and out. Josh checks on ya multiple time during the trip. Cabin could use a deep clean but nothing horrible. What you would expect for a cabin in the woods. Beds were comfy. A white noise machine in the upstairs room literally changed my life. Have one in my amazon cart rn. Hot tub did exactly what it was suppose to for a relaxing time. House is on a well so mineral water is there, water softner is set alittle too high so you sorta feel like you cant get the soap out. Its an experience i didnt mind having. Fun place, dont take all this as a negative because ITS DEFINITELY WORTH IT!

The listing was quite accurate to what the property owner stated in the overview. The cabin makes you feel cozy and all the essentials were there for starters. The property owner kept very well communication and made it feel at ease if something were to come up. The scenery/forestry surrounding the property provide nice seclusion from the other properties and it made for peaceful evenings. All in all a joyful experience all around!

Last resort to book again.

Remotes for both TVs upstairs did not work we was informed to try and reprogram them which didn’t work either. Hot tub did not get hot like it should have. Communication from renter was slow. It’s not a bad place we still had fun other then minor issues we had.

Tucked conveniently out of the hustle and bustle but close enough to enjoy both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. There are cabins close but not visible so it is nice and private. We enjoyed our stay.

Property was nice and off to its self. We enjoyed our stay other than the dishes were dirty in the cabnets and we had to wash whatever we were going to use. The rest of the inside of the house was clean. The outside of the house could use some cleaning on the portch.

Very nice and maintained cabin. Beautiful semi secluded location. Property is in excellent condition. I would disagree that it sleeps 8, unless you are putting people on the floor or 3 in each bed. Other than that discrepancy it is an awesome location and great atmosphere

Not as advertised

The property is run down and in need of attention. The cleaning crew did a mediocre job at best. We just went out and bought cleaning supplies and cleaned it ourself. The screened in porch is partially screened in, the screen that’s on the door just blows around from where it’s not connected, so it defeats the purpose. The water smells like rotten eggs for some reason, even though the place has a water softener. The downstairs bathroom ceiling has mold or mildew beginning to form as well as the baseboards in the laundry room it’s not a huge amount but if you are really sensitive to that sort of thing it may cause you a problem. The photos that are shown must have been taken quite a while ago and enhanced, the inside is fairly dark. I guess the positive things were the pool table and arcade game worked, the location of the house is also convenient to Gatlinburg. Place is overpriced for what it is, there are much nicer properties in the vicinity that rent for the same amount or slightly more.

Hot tub didn’t work and owners knew about it prior to our arrival and no notice. Many things broken in the cabin, screens on the porch, hot tub cover all tore up, bathtub upstairs did not work, many things rusty, many light bulbs out, dust everywhere. There was a cabin above us with about 15 teenagers that were all in our driveway messing with their cars and being loud for most of the day/night. Couldn’t even get up our driveway due to this. Overall not a good experience.

Excellent stay!

My family loved our Labor Day outing and stay at this property! The cabin was very clean! Everyone loved the atmosphere and the games. After a day at Soaky Mountain Park everyone this cabin was perfect to relax and unwind in! Our hosts were amazing, could not have asked for a better experience! Highly recommend this beautiful cabin!

Great getaway

Property as described. Good communication with property management. Road just a teeny bit narrow but it is the mountains after all. Loved the front porch with ceiling fans and swing. Only thing that needed adjusting was maybe have the ceiling fan and light over hot tub work.

What a treat!

Our family had a wonderful time staying at the cabin. Perfectly located to access all of the area sights, but tucked away enough to “get away from it all”. The property is beautiful, clean, spacious, and provides all of the amenities you need to accommodate a full family away from home. We look forward to future stays which will include additional family and friends because this is the kind of place where happy family memories are made! Cabin in the Woods

Cabin is tucked away in a very nice, private area. Cabin was as described and pictured. We could not see any neighbors and the large porch is wonderful to watch the rain in rocking chairs. We had 3 people staying and the layout was perfect. The game room was fun and we appreciated the privacy (inside and outside). We would stay again.

Great vacation spot

We loved staying at the toasted marshmallow. The cabin was private and tucked away, but also right in the middle of both gatlinburg and pigeon forge. There was a great variety of pots/pans and utensils. The beds were nice and comfortable with fans in every room. The rooms were also a very nice size! Also, the host Josh was very attentive to our needs. We would definitely stay here again.
