  • Cabine de Sarah & Cabine de tante Babbie



    Privées, calmes et isolées, ces deux cabanes en rondins ont été restaurées avant la guerre civile. Elles ont été démantelées, déplacées de Virginie et reconstruites avec le confort moderne. Ils peuvent être loués séparément ou ensemble.



    La cabane de la tante Babbie date d'environ 1850 et de la cabane de Sarah d'environ 1820. Ils sont contigus et partagent une terrasse en pierre de sorte qu'ils ne sont que des marches à part pour un accès facile.



    Des buis massifs de 75 ans entourent la cabine de la tante Babbie pour plus d'intimité. Au rez-de-chaussée, tante Babbie’s a des planchers en bois de grange rustiques, des murs et des armoires récupérés dans la grange des années 1950 d’un camp local; cuisine complète; bain avec douche; et salon avec cheminée en pierre et tv. Le canapé-lit peut accueillir deux personnes. La charmante chambre à l'étage dispose d'un lit rustique rustique en noyer, d'un lit ancien pour les jeunes, d'une télévision et d'une jolie petite cheminée romantique.

We really enjoyed our stay.

We really enjoyed our stay. Loved the property and the care in which it was decorated. The setting was beautiful, historic log cabin very clean and well maintained. Located far enough from town to feel isolated, but close enough to civilization for excellent restaurants, shopping and groceries within 15-20 minutes from the cabin. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

It was a true delight! It rained the whole weekend and that only amplified the magic of the cabin. Falling asleep to the rain on the roof was such a treat. The home is so perfect we wanted to never ever leave! And the surroundings are so idyllic we do envy the owners. What a treasure!

Quiet cozy remote cabin

A wonderful charming and comfortable cabin nestled deep in the woods just outside of Brevard. Lots to do in the area and definitely will return one day. It was clean and well stocked with the essential needs. It is a little difficult to find, make sure to follow the directions from downtown Brevard and don't rely on Google maps. Loved our short stay. Thank you!

nightmare in the woods

we had no idea the location was so far out of town. the cabin is beautiful, but all we could see was the cobwebs, spiders, no bath soap, the mattress cover had blood stains, had no idea where to put trash, or where the laundry was. we were very much looking forward to staying, but very disappointed and only stayed one night.

Rustic

My family enjoyed our stay. A few things however I felt could have been better. 1. In the corner of the room was a cricket stick pad full of dead crickets. I understand the need for the stick pad but it could have been cleaned or replaced. 2. the refrigerator door had an extreme amount of black mold on the door seal. We did see the note about “closing” the freezer tight but that mold was pretty gross. 3. The bushes surrounding the porch were so tall that we couldn’t enjoy the view while sitting on the porch. I appreciate the privacy but it would have been nice to see the landscape. 4. Upon check out I began to remove the sheets and noticed the mattress pad was stained. I immediately stopped because I was grossed out. The last thing that would have been nice was a heads up about the road leading to the cabin. Arriving at dusk, we felt unsure if our GPS was leading us in the right direction. Thanks

excellent forest getaway

We loved our stay and fell in love with Aunt Babbie's cabin. It is small and basic, but all that is needed for a peaceful forest escape.

Aunt Babbie's Cabin Stay

We had a wonderful stay the cabin was well appointed everything was clean comfortable very rustic with two wonderful fireplaces. There was also a fire pit outside we used. Unfortunately firewood at the cabin that was outside and soaking wet and not well covered I had to go to town to buy firewood other than that what a wonderful place lot of privacy would stay again highly recommend

Sweet Place

This is a sweet cabin. Very private. My only complaint is there is no cable or wifi. I understand the lack of cellular connection, but if the cabin had wifi we could do calls via wifi. If you cant handle being off the grid, then pick another cabin. Otherwise this place is great.
