Good!
A well run hotel in an excellent position. The building is faily dated but well kept. Internet access in the lobby for guests is valuable as i don't have mobile connecitons. Very helpful and efficient staff

I had just developed a minor medical condition which means using a wheelchair. One to one safety briefing and a ground floor suitable room was provided. Friendly efficient staff and stunning views across Plymouth from the Penthouse restaurant.

Great hotel and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Had a nice meal and amazing breakfast in the Marco Pierre white restaurant with a lovely panoramic view of Plymouth Hoe and out to sea . My only criticism would be the evening meal in the Marco Pierre restaurant was not at the standard I expected because my the Cod I had with my meal was tasteless . I would highly recommend this hotel and would book again .

Some improvements needed.
I have stayed at the Plaza many times, but recently noticed a steady decline on what you get in return for your money. Long lines at check in, I was 16th in line. Staff working hard to combat this. Premium room spacious, but very worn. stained carpets, stained towels, no robes/slippers or additional amenities in room. (We had them 4weeks ago) great king size bed, very comfortable, the room just felt like it needed a deep clean. Poor premium lounge big difference noticed since our last visit, very busy limited seating, a bigger space is needed for the amount of people wanting to access it at peak times (the limited hours alcohol is available) some people were unable to find seats and left. Breakfast items not restocked when running low, not a bad selection when all items are available. However all staff are polite friendly and welcoming. location is ideal for the Barbican, the Hoe, and the city centre. Parking is tight, the overflow is a little better. There are hotels half the price in this area, offering the same standards, Plaza needs to stop cutting back on amenities and staffing if it wants to keep it’s premium prices.

The location of the hotel is excellent directly overlooking Plymouth Hoe. The room itself was huge and the bed was enormous. The bathroom however was very disappointing- it was tiny and to get into the shower you had to climb over the toilet.
