Das Petite Cachette (Little Hideaway) ist ein charmantes Gästehaus mit 1 Schlafzimmer, das sich versteckt in einer authentischen roten Scheune befindet. Dieses 1200 m² große, frisch gestrichene, mit Teppichboden ausgelegte und komfortabel eingerichtete Gästehaus wurde kürzlich renoviert und verfügt im Erdgeschoss über ein Wohnzimmer mit einem Holzofen, eine voll ausgestattete Küche und ein Badezimmer mit einer Waschmaschine und einem Trockner. Im Obergeschoss finden Sie ein geräumiges Loft-Schlafzimmer mit einem romantischen Himmelbett und einem begehbaren Kleiderschrank. Draußen sind Sie von einer privaten gepflegten Weide (auf der Sie häufig Rehe sehen) und schönen alten Bäumen umgeben. Sitzen Sie draußen und entspannen Sie sich beim Grillen oder genießen Sie einfach die üppige Landschaft.
Diese besondere Unterkunft befindet sich auf der Olympischen Halbinsel, nur wenige Minuten von der Hood Canal Bridge und dem Shine Tidelands State Park in Port Ludlow entfernt. PL bietet gehobene Küche im Fireside Restaurant im Port Ludlow Inn, Golf, Wanderwege und einen Jachthafen. Wir befinden uns in zentraler Lage zu mehreren malerischen Städten nördlich und südlich von uns. Etwas südlich von Port Ludlow über die Hood Canal Bridge befindet sich die historische Stadt Port Gamble, die sich hervorragend zum Einkaufen, Theater, Essen, Antiquitäten und Kajakfahren eignet. Etwas weiter südlich liegt die charmante nordische Stadt Poulsbo. In der Front Street neben Liberty Bay gibt es mehrere großartige Geschäfte, darunter Antiquitäten, Kleidung, Wohnkultur, Souvenirs, Restaurants am Wasser und die fantastische Sluy's Bakery!

Beautiful grounds, relaxing space. This barn house is the ideal place to unwind and practice “the art of doing nothing.” A longtime friend and I spent 2 nights here, mostly just catching up, as old friends do, listening to music, watching movies, and eating good food! Speaking of which, the owners (who are an absolute delight) left all kinds of snacks: English muffins, eggs, apples and caramel sauce, cheese and crackers, condiments, a delicious homemade cake, juice, waters and soft drinks, popcorn. The kitchen and bathroom were supplied with everything you could possibly need. I honestly think you could show up with just your clothes and you would find anything else you might need in this incredibly stocked and SPOTLESS rental. (As I’m writing this, my husband is enjoying his 2nd piece of the cake I brought home with a cup of tea.)If there are any negatives it would be: If you need to get up early, set your clock because there aren’t very many windows for natural light, plus you’ll sleep deeply in either of the very comfortable beds. Also, the shower is small. I’m short so it wasn’t a problem for me, and honestly the rainshower head makes up for it. So, those aren’t really negatives, just information.I have been staying in vacation rentals for decades, and I believe this is the best all-around space I’ve rented. The wood stove was cozy, furniture comfortable, and the entire space was beautifully decorated. Would I stay here again? In a heartbeat!

This was such a great place to get away!! It’s so quiet and the property is beautiful! The barn house has so many comforts! The coffee options, the bedding, the softness of the towels - even a foot bath/massager! The wood burning stove was perfect for creating a war, cozy atmosphere - perfect for reading and relaxing. It was heavenly - the hosts went above and beyond!

Wonderful place to stay, it far exceeded our expectations! I knew the grounds would be beautiful. But it was all the small details that made it so extraordinary... wine, crackers and fruit upon arrival, freshly made cake, foot baths with healing salts! We loved our stay at the Barn House. The location is very quiet and peaceful.There is a nice area to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful trees and pasture. The interior of the home is very nicely decorated and Leslie has appointed the unit with more amenities than you could possibly imagine. The home is close to Port Ludlow and a short drive to Port Townsend. Communication with Leslie was very easy and her responses were quick. We would love to come back for a future visit.

Cool weather get away

We found a hidden gem in the barn house. Leslie and Don were perfect hosts and had so many small great touches that made us feel so welcome. The landscaping around the area is beautiful and enjoyed sitting outside having a fire and making dinner. Super clean and cozy. We both slept so soundly. Great getaway from Texas heat.

Such a special little getaway

We absolutely loved our stay! Our host even went the extra mile and provided all the essentials we would need AND spoiled us with a chocolate cake, wine, and some simple groceries in the fridge!! We were blown away. The kitchen also had everything we needed to cook with including oil and spices.
