The Space:

Auburn Vale Cottage by Tiny Away is located in the Quirindi region, just a 2-hour drive from Newcastle, NSW. This off-grid countryside retreat offers a minimalist living experience, with the tiny house set in a well-shaded area and boasting beautiful views of both sunrise and sunset.



As it is a remote location, guests can find a handful of coffee shops, a bakery, and a local IGA along George Street in Quirindi, providing all the essentials for day-to-day living.



Back at the retreat, this 139-square-foot tiny home features a queen-sized bed for two adults, easy access to water, split-system air conditioning, a kitchenette with cooking equipment, and bathroom. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste tank, a hand basin, and a gas-heated shower—creating a comfortable and relaxing holiday escape.



Guest Access:

Guests can access the tiny home and the fenced area. For access to additional areas, guests may ask the host for permission.



If you have any questions about sightseeing spots, the host can provide brochures and recommendations for local attractions.

Auburn Vale Cottage by Tiny Away sits at the heart of the Quirindi region, just a scenic 2-hour drive from Newcastle, NSW. While Auburn Vale feels wonderfully removed from the rush, the towns of Quirindi, Wallabadah, and Willow Tree are only 15 minutes away, with the vibrant city of Tamworth just 45 minutes away—offering the perfect balance of seclusion and nearby adventure.



Getting Around:

By car:



- Sydney is approximately 5hrs drive and 363kms away.

- The nearest town are Quirindi, Wallabadah, and Willow Tree, all located 15 minutes away

- Yes reachable via 2WD and 4WD?



By public transport:



- There is a train from Sydney to Quirindi and there is a local taxi service from the railway station to the tiny away home.

- There is a taxi service that covers the surrounding areas.



Other Things to Note:

- Not Suitable for Children

- Gas BBQ grill is available

- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed

- Firewood and Kindling is $30 per tub, and lighters for $1

- No smoking inside the tiny home, except in designated areas

- Mobile reception is good for Telstra while other carriers have no signal

- Please bring your own food and water as we are a “self-catering accommodation”

- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge



Safety Guidelines



- Make sure to turn off the lights, AC, electronics, close windows and doors when leaving

- We advise you to be cautious of your surroundings and to wear enclosed shoes when outdoors.



Important note:



- BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban

- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present in the surrounding areas

- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the cassette toilets and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests.
