6/10 Satisfaisant

The positives first: the home does match the listing and is very spacious with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. That said, there were several downsides that made the stay less comfortable than expected. The house is located in a so-so part of downtown Reno. While we felt secure inside, there were moments of concern when random people, some appearing homeless, cut through the property to access the alley. The putt-putt course is more of a novelty, with many holes raised awkwardly above the ground and the greens showing their age.Inside, the biggest frustration was the lack of storage. There are no closets at all to hang clothes and very few usable drawers. The only option was to use random hooks on the walls—so definitely bring hangers if you want to hang anything. The pillows provided are tiny, and we ended up buying our own. The memory foam beds, while kind, sleep very hot.Another big issue was the outside Ring camera flood light. Anytime it was triggered, it lit up one of the bedrooms at night, and we woke up multiple times because of it.The kitchen is minimally stocked with dinnerware, the dishwasher had some issues, and the freezer had significant ice build-up. Finally, the check-in process was overly complicated, requiring the use of a third-party system and uploading my driver’s license just to gain access—something I’ve never encountered with other VRBO rentals.Overall, the house has potential and some nice conveniences.
