To start with the positives: location and plenty of living area to host our family. The homeowner was responsive, apologetic of all our issues, and Venmoed us some to make up for some of our troubles. Unfortunately, the negatives far outweighed.our positives. The keyless entry wasn’t working for the house, so we had to use a key that was also unreliable - I stood jiggling that thing trying to get it to work every time. The heat/ac was either not working or we couldn’t figure it out (we were not provided any instructions even when we asked for them!) so the house temperature was extremely hard to regulate. We ended up washing every dish in the house before using them because they were put away dirty. We arrived to a dryer full of towels - and could find only a single washcloth in the house. The three outdoor trash cans were completely full of trash when we arrived - which made for an interesting week for us! There are no mattress or pillowcase covers. Yuck. There is not a single closet in any bedroom available to hang clothes in! They are either locked or stuffed with the owner’s personal items. The master bedroom is bright all night long because there are only lace coverings on the doors to the canal, which is brightly lit, and lace provides zero privacy in that room when you have any type of light on in there. The property manager was terse and unapologetic. The deck was unusable due to cigar buts and bird droppings. Overall a huge disappointment for the price.
