« House was great, perfect location! Close to everything! House was clean, owner was very helpful! »

« Very clean. Carmen the manager was great and so we're all the staff. Right on the main street and all the restaurants, about 150yd from the beach, 100yds from the beach sidewalk. If you have 2 good legs you don't need transportation to access everything in town. Fairly quiet. »

« We had a great stay! The house was exactly as described—clean, spacious, and well-equipped for groups or families. We especially appreciated the large tables, games, and thoughtful touches that made it ideal for spending time together. The beach was absolutely beautiful, though worth noting that it’s not ideal for swimming. The staff was kind and helpful throughout our stay. « Everything from the moment we arrived until the day we left was amazing! Owner & staff were very nice & helpful with everything we needed. « Really enjoyed my stay at Areca House. I was there solo for a vacation; however, it would be fine too for a couple. Great location to the beach (just across the street), as well as close to restaurants (within walking distance). It was great to enjoy Garifuna places of interest (wonderful food, etc.). Doc responded quickly to my initial inquiries, and Janette provided a helpful introduction to the place after I arrived. Would recommend Areca House! »

« We had such a relaxing stay. Sunrises in the morning from the porch are stunning. Candy and Rick were both so helpful and nice. Candy even arranged for the Tropic Air fight to wait for us since our flight was several hours late. They go on and beyond in helpfulness. Thank you so much for everything. »

« Carmen and the staff truly care about you and your stay !!! So nice to see service has not gone out of style. Minor issues with cutlery and toilet that just need a chain. However requires a trip to Mango Creek. I'm sure it will get done. »

« Perfect location, their is a supermarket just next door. The saff is very helpfull and friendly. The only thing I would add is a place to unpack your clothes. The property has no storing nor hangers for your clothes. In the bathroom there are no towel hooks which could be nice to have. The toiletries could have more comfortable dispensers and not just small wooden cups »

« Perfect location everything was within walking distance. Placencia is an interesting and friendly village. The only downside was was the heat and sargasum seaweed blocking the beaches. »

« This is a beautiful, clean property very close to the sidewalk in Placencia. The hosts were GREAT, check in was a breeze and the AC was cold!! They have a small but deep pool on top of it all!! I highly recommend Driftwood Gardens and will definitely stay again. »

« The apartment was pretty well equipped and served our needs well. The pool needed cleaning so we didnt use it and there were some minor maintenance issues, that did not really affect our stay, we advised housekeeping about. »
