« It is what it is. I am way too old to be doing that style of camping anymore. Just not for me. There was a lot of communication when I booked but haven't heard anything since. I didn't realize some of the things when I booked it.I guess I didn't read or it wasn't there.I don't know. But that hike in and out kinda sucked! The toilet is so crooked.It's hard to go to the bathroom. I get roughing it and camping isn't glamorous?But there's a few things that could make this just a little bit nicer of...

« The place has a quiet serene tasteful ambience. Well designed house with ease of movement and double door entry through teh back too. The summer would be lovely inheh back porch. We did have to scan my driving license again through a seperate portal, but vrbo assured me that was okay. Quiet beautiful, well kept place. A very nice sitout and porch at the back. We were here early spring, comfy cozy bed with minimalist but tasteful decor. Had all t the basic utensils, coffee, tea sugar etc....

« We loved our stay here. This space/property is the perfect natural oasis/escape from the city; it was exactly what we were looking for, gorgeous natural light, lots of windows, a huge yard, tons of nature/animals, fire pit, hiking nearby, the river access is perfect and even an active bald eagle nest! I slept like a baby the entire trip. Checking in/out was easy. We absolutely will be coming back for round two asap - highly recommend staying here ! »

« Beautiful place tucked back in the woods. Very relaxing and incredibly clean. The free coffee was a nice touch too. Will 100% be returning to The Gunks because of this house. »

« We had a great time. The tent and toilet were clean. We appreciated the water provided and the cookware. The only thing to note is that there is a bit of walking on a rocky trail before reaching the campsite (not next to the parking spot). The river was fun to explore but can be difficult for younger kids to get to. The campsite is close to Minnewaska State Park, very convenient. »

« Great location to get some peace and quiet. Beautiful foliage and tons of wildlife in the area. This was our first time staying in a tiny home, and the place had everything we needed to cook, clean, and relax while exploring the area. »
