Stayed for one night, we wish we had at least two nights but were not able to do so.
In general it was good but we were notified one hour before check in that we would not be able to use the fire pit due to a fire ban in the county. Our car was loaded with lots of wood. We drove 2.5hours to this house.
We felt this was a big minus, the ban did not just occur, we should have been notified of this before we booked. The ban was placed September 6 2024. Therefore we left bittersweet, after all taxes, and fees paying over $500 for one night is expensive especially without the ability to use one of the main amenities.
I also requested for a late checkout 4 days before check in and received a generic message to contact them 2-3days before our check in again. I forgot and reached out on check in date and they were not able to accommodate.
Also, there is absolutely no internet access, I wish I knew this before entering the area because we got lost and I could not access our door access code and had difficulty finding our house. We wasted over an hour because of this :((
The fire pit was the biggest downer for us, it was planned as a large portion of our enjoyment in the woods to celebrate my husbands birthday. Kids were very upset not being able to roast marshmallows and warm up by the fire.
Otherwise it was a nice stay, outside was left a bit messy but nothing that I can not close my eyes to :)
