Bug infested, electrical issues, no a/c

We did not stay! Do not book this house! We were told we would receive the code to enter 30 minutes prior to entry time but instead had to call and message for 5 minutes after arrival for codes and access. Then the host told us she doesnt give out codes till she sees guests come in by camera... umm okay. There is a ring so we are hoping thats what she meant. Typically not and issue but we had 7 children with us and trying to unload two vehicles before the rain came. The pictures are deceiving, the pool is much smaller and home has several cracks in the walls. There were roaches, and bug feces in kitchen, mold in the fridgerator ice and water dispenser, dead bugs around the entire home, and ants in the master bathroom. The lights on the left side of the home were not working and had to flip the breaker to get them on again. After unloading and attemtping to clean the kitchen from bug droppings and hide our pastries and food in microwaves we adjusted the a/c down to attempt to settle in. After 10 minutes the entire thermostat went black and we lost all a/c. We messaged and called the host several times in a panic and did not get a response for over 40 minute's and at this point started to reload our cars to leave. As sad as it was we were willing to deal with a bug infested house but when the air conditioner went out we said no more. I was still charged a full night, all 6 days taxes, cleaning fee, service fee, and a damage fee with no compassion from VRBO.

Practically Perfect

Nana is a superlative host, so responsive. I arrived tired and sick after a long day of travel, and couldnt figure out the digital door lock. I got in touch with Nana, who immediately called me back and talked me through the system. The house was terrific for 2 grandparents, 2 parents, and 4 kids ages 7-11. The layout worked so well for us.The kitchen/LR/DR set up was great. The pool and yard were amazing - our kids spent HOURS in the heated pool. Being right on the canal was such fun...we kayaked every morning and saw a wealth of bird life. Last day, we did see alligators! All the extras Nana provides - kayaks, foosball, pool table, kids'games and drawing supplies - were all so welcome, and used. The location is terrific - close to everything. We spent most days on Gasperilla Island beaches, and afternoons in the pool.The kitchen was very good for preparing family meals. The Master Bath is luxurious.On the one rainy day we tried to go bowling in Port Charlotte, but it was League Day so no open lanes. We went to Books A Million and Yogurt Mountain instead - so satisfying!lock.

Great space for our family

This was a great spot for our family. We drove to the beach in the mornings and enjoyed the pool in the afternoons. We made a lot of meals in the kitchen. It was a nice house to vacation in!

Overall great

I looked at alot of rentals and this rental had all that i wanted, enough room, fishing canal in the back, heated pool and good location. The whole family had a blast here and loved the house. I had to message Nana a couple times and she answered me very promptly and was very helpful. I would stay here again.

A calm oasis

We were in town to attend a celebration of life ceremony. The property was as advertised, very nicely furnished and clean. Unfortunately, we were there for such a short time, we didn't get to take advantage of all the amenities, but my 3 year old grandson greatly enjoyed the foosball table, even though he didn't quite understand the rules. We really appreciated the safety gate around the pool, so that we didn't have to worry about that same 3 year old going for an unauthorized swim. Nana was also very responsive when we initally had trouble operating the front door lock, and quickly helped us resolve the issue.It was really nice to have such a nice place to return to after the emotion of the day's activities. I would recommend this property and this owner.

Beautiful Home

This home was exactly as described; clean, spacious, and beautiful. The host was very responsive and even provided recommendations for kayaking locations. We had four teens who found plenty to do by fishing, swimming, games in the garage, etc. we really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend!

Absolutely fantastic Stay !!!

We are so pleased with our choice. Kayaks, fishing poles, fabulous pool, badminton, corn hole, ping-pong table, beach accessories, all was provided. Even kayak transporting gear was available, so we were able to throw kayaks on top of our vehicles and take them with us. Kitchen had plenty of dishes, glassware and everything you need to cook. The house is located across the street from golf course and the whole neighborhood is absolutely BEAUTIFUL. We set course to few beaches every day located nearby. Boca Grande and Venice beach were our favorites. House is super clean, inviting, and well furnished. Words can not express how amazing our stay was. Nana is a great host, quick to reply and helpful. She really made this a seamless VRBO experience. We will be back in few months to spend some quality family time once more!

What a catch with this property!

The property was everything advertised and more! We had plenty of space with our families, it was close to all stores and restaurants and most importantly the beach! Our kids fished in the backyard at the canal and swam in the pool to cool off! The house was clean and spacious and very accommodating, definitely recommend renting if you plan to stay in the Rotonda area!!!

Beautiful rental

We really enjoyed our stay at this vacation rental. Very clean and quiet neighborhood. I would say it sleeps 8 adults and 4 children comfortably. Definitely would recommend.

Spring Get Away

This is a beautiful house, very well decorated and comfortable. The hostess was very nice to work with and available for any questions throughout the booking process. However, we love to cook while on vacation and this house does not have the "gourmet kitchen" it describes. It is a nice kitchen; however, it is lacking in cookware such as a good non-stick skillet, cook pots and kitchen towels. There is plenty plates, glassware and sheet pans. The outside area could also use some nice lounge chairs and flat floats for the pool.

Great stay!

We had a nice stay. The house was exactly as pictured. It is close to the beach (about 15-20 min from Englewood beach) and it’s a great set up for families with bunk beds in one room and a safety gate around the pool (hard to find for rentals!). Nana answered our questions quickly and was very responsive.

Absolutely Beautiful

This property is a gem. We booked it because we were in the area for unrelated reason and decided to stay a little longer. Property owner is a VERY pleasant and responsive for everything although we did not have to contact more then ones as all house rules were clearly outlined in the description. House Rules were more relaxed then in our house). You can tell how much love snd care owner puts in this property. House is big and can easily sleep 13 people, it has a beautiful kitchen with everything you might need to cook. Living room is spacious enough for many people. Master bedroom is huge with all amenities. Pool was definitely a hit ! We loved to jump in there 24/7. Pool was heated which apparently is not too common in Florida. Each room had a TV, Internet (WIFI) was incredibly fast. Laundry room has a washer and drier which we used few times as well as iron and ironing board. House has a big 2 cars garage. We did not park our rental dar there, although those with motorcycles or open tops will appreciate. Area where house is located is about 13-15 min from the beach ( driving), although when we were leaving we learned that there is a beach event closer. Association, where house is located, has a few golf courses available within minutes of walking, although we did not play golf this time, but we will definitely be back! Lastly there are plenty of supermarkets for grocery shopping as well as other box stores just minutes of driving. Upon leaving owner wished us a happy travels home which was very nice!
