Cute little cottage. Perfect size for 2 adults and 2 small dogs. Pretty view. Toilet runs but other than that no issues. Plenty of towels and hot water. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to staying again!
The cabin is small but has everything you need. Our only complaint was the ROCK HARD bed. We checked out 2 days early due to being unable to sleep but the host refunded our 2 nights and was extremely gracious. If bed was replaced we would definitely stay again.
Online booking was easy. Property exactly as described and shown in pictures. I was a little bit worried about the after hour check in process as our key and contract were not in the safe. The host number never was answered. So we finally located a maintenance man and he got us taken care of. My only 2 complaints are 1- toilet is super low and you have to jiggle the handle and 2- the hot water heater was weak for showers. Those were such minor things and we loved our stay here so much that I tried to extend our stay another night, however it was already booked. I love to cook and this kitchen has modern new appliances and every gadget needed to make a feast while watching tv or chatting with family and friends while cooking it up. The amenities are awesome! The location is beyond beautiful and my husband and I enjoyed reconnecting around nature..We highly recommend this place.
My husband and I stayed here for a few days during October. This was our first visit to Arkansas. Magnolia Cottage was a perfect place to stay for 2 people. The cottage has pretty much everything we needed. The kitchen is equipped with what is needed to prepare basic meals and we used the charcoal grill outside the cottage. We appreciated that it was located in a quiet, wooded area on Lake Ouachita which is a less populated lake away from the busyness of Hot Springs. It is an easy drive from the cottage to area attractions near Hot Springs. There is a great trailhead down the road that we hiked for a couple hours. Garvan Woodland Gardens is a must see. We did the trolley car ride in Hot Springs which gave us some great information about the area and the history of the city. We are native Minnesotans and are now living in Texas. We wanted to find something that reminded us of our cabin in northern Minnesota and this did not disappoint. The lakes in this area are beautiful! We definitely would return here.
We also stayed in the cabin next door...We loved them both! The property manager came out immediately when an issue arose and all was great! We will be returning most definitely.
The cabin was so nice and just what we needed for our stay. Right on the water and close to a swim beach. It was stocked with everything we needed for cooking all week! We plan to be back next year!
Precious tiny house! Very clean. We fished some from the banks (it was steep) but drove down to the campsites for the eclipse. It was beautiful. There is even a small beach with a swimming area!
Me and my wife loves it very warm and comfortable place to stay and enjoy the view to the lake was beautiful. Thanks for everything.
Definitely weâll come back.
We really enjoyed our stay. Great view, super clean little cabin. My only complaint is the mattress was VERY firm which is not my preference but everything else was perfect!
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay for our anniversary. Cabin had everything we needed. Only complaint we have is the bed is extremely hard and the outside lighting isnât the best. Besides that we really enjoyed our time and the owners were super communicative when we had issues with the hot water.
Itâs a beautiful area, & the cabin is cute. But be prepared as it is a long ways from town. Make sure to bring all your food & cooking needs! Lake is real pretty, but was disappointed some areas were closed off. Other than that is was cozy.
Comfortable for 2 people, nice porch. Had trouble getting our bass boat in and out of the driveway. Boat ramp near cabin was closed unfortunately. Luckily there was another boat ramp about 5 minutes away. Will definitely rent again. Cabin was clean, enjoyed our stay!!
The cabin is fairly new so it is still in good condition.
Communication was easy and responsive.
The only thing I would say is there are multiple cabins in very close proximity, so be aware that you will hear every other site at night as the hang out and talk and stay up all night. Also, yes this is on the lake but no way to get to water, steep drop off. Also, the near by swim area is under construction so no access.
There is a food truck on site ran by safe harbor. Highly recommend eating there on a sat if you can, weâll worth it. The seafood was amazing as is the friendliest staff. Donât let it being a good truck discourage you. A must see is the dam in the early morning, peaceful and breathtaking.
Be aware of these huge flying killer wasps, they were on a mission to get me. Have to love nature.
The outside trash cans were not covered and the crows created a mess every time trash was deposited. I spoke to the property manager and the trash was picked up later that day. I made it a point to take my trash to the dumpster located in the campgrounds to keep the crows from getting into it.
