Well stocked, very clean. The home was great for two families. View of the water was a daily highlight and the wind off the water kept bugs away. Two golf carts made driving around the island very convenient. The kitchen and living area was large and didn’t feel crowded when everyone was the space. We would book this home again.

Amazing Views!

Gorgeous Home Plus Plus Plus…

We loved the home. The view was incredible!! We woke before sunrise each morning just to enjoy the view. The home provided everything we needed. The 2 golf carts were perfect for our family and the bikes were a hit!! The weather wasn’t so great for us a few days but the games that were provided filled our time with laughter and fun! The complimentary wine and snacks were so sweet. We will definitely be staying again!!

Front porch heaven

We loved our stay here! The house was stocked with everything we needed. We saw dolphins every morning from our rocking chairs on the porch. The house has very little traffic, which was really peaceful. We will definitely be back!

A Coastal Haven: Unmatched Comfort and Views

Our Fripp Island stay was nothing short of a dream, combining space, comfort, and beauty in one package. SPACIOUSNESS GALORE: The house comfortably accommodated our group of 7 Adult Women (Sisters, Cousins and Aunts) with open areas and cozy dining and conversation spots bringing us closer without feeling crowded. BREATHTAKING VIEWS: From the front porch, we enjoyed serene vistas of alligators, dolphins, sea birds, kayakers, boats, and stunning sunrises. Even when it rained, we enjoyed watching the waves over the ocean from it's rocking chairs. The back offered delightful deer sightings. SUPREME COMFORT: The plush beds were universally praised, ensuring restful nights. ACCOMMODATIONS NOTE: The bunk beds and queen room share a bathroom, requiring some shower scheduling, but the double sinks made it manageable (we had 5 people sharing this bathroom). The bunk beds were surprisingly comfortable, perfect for anyone 5'7" or shorter but not recommended for those who are taller. EXCEPTIONAL MANAGEMENT: The property manager's responsiveness made our stay seamless and stress-free, standing out as particularly helpful through text if we had questions. ISLAND CHARM: Fripp enchanted us with its easy golf cart navigation, friendly to both carts and cars, and the island was reminiscent of a relaxed, less formal, and smaller Kiawah Island. HIGHLY RECOMMEND: Ideal for creating lasting memories, this house promises a serene and comfortable retreat. We're already looking forward to returning!

Best Beach House !

We had the best time at this gorgeous house ! Truly the most accommodating home I have ever rented on Fripp Island over the past 25 years. The beds were the most comfortable, the kitchen was so well stocked, and the best part was sitting on this amazing porch watching 100’s of dolphin swim by, and the sunsets are just breathtaking. Thank you so much for providing us with everything we needed! I could not imagine a better house.

LOVE. LOVE. LOVE.

We have wanted to stay at this house for 17 years....and it did not disappoint. Seeing over 100 dolphins, and the occasional sea turtle floating by, was exactly what we were looking forward to. Waking up to the spectacular sunrises, and enjoying family time on the front porch, was exactly the experience we had envisioned. This house has all the kitchen amenities desired when cooking every night. Beds were very comfortable. And the outdoor shower is a big plus! As we are all adults staying in this house, our only request; switch the full size bed to a queen with no footboard - in the main floor rear bedroom. Tony and Ruth Ann are a delight to work with, and very attentive. We hope to be back next year - maybe for 4 weeks!!

Great Views, Excellent Location, Seamless Process to Rent

Waking up every morning to the dolphins swimming in the Ocean off the front deck and then move to back deck to see deer in the back yard and golfers taking their second shot on the hole this property sets on. Great Owners that take pride in providing a seamless process to begin and end your Saturday to Saturday stay. Thank you for all you did to provide golf carts, bikes, beach chairs, pool table, ping pong and the great welcome basket on the counter. This is a one of a kind property with views that will stay with you for years to come.

Best Family Vacation To Date

This is such a unique and beautiful property. Ruth Ann (the owner) was so helpful in getting the most out of the trip. She recommended restaurants, activities, and made the entire process so seamless. Watching the dolphins from the front porch, and the two pristine golf courses were the highlight for our family. Kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook. Would go back again for sure.

Higher porpoise was amazing. The house was perfect. It had everything including 4 bikes, 2 golf carts, pool table , ping pong table, beach chairs and toys. We saw dolphins out front almost everyday. Very clean And the owners are very friendly and helpful.

Perfection and Porpoise’s from the Porch

High quality linen, well supplied kitchen, plenty of hot water. Gracious hosts. We loved the morning view from the front and delighted in the grill on the golf course in the back. Would rent again!

Best Property ever!

We have stayed in many VRBO houses and this was by far the best. The owners have thought of everything that you might need. The views of the ocean are amazing. The house is clean and spacious with a beautiful backyard. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Truly the best! Perfect stay for a large group

Tony & Ruth Ann had the house stocked with everything our group of 7 could have ever needed, from cooking utensils to plenty of linens to travel-sized toiletries in each bathroom. The location is perfect and the direct view of the ocean could not have been better. The house was clean, comfortable, & cute; we felt right at home and will absolutely be coming back next year. Exquisite Property

This was our second time at Higher Porpoise and it did not disappoint. The front porch overlooking the ocean has the best sunrises, dolphin watching and bird watching. Every day begins and ends on this porch. At night the stars are so clear. The house is gorgeous! All the amenities are spectacular!! Bikes, boogie boards, beach chairs, 2 golf carts. I cannot recommend this property enough. It’s worth every penny! We will be back.

Great place to stay

I stayed at this beautiful home with my family of six and another family of four. The home was in a great location with a great view. The kitchen was very well organized and clean. I have never encountered a rental home where are you open the drawers and they’re actually organized! The home owners were very communicative from the very beginning and made sure to answer all my questions. Some other things that I thought were above and beyond were the fact that there was soap in the bathrooms and a roll of toilet paper provided in each. I loved the coffee cups and the fact that the house has 4 bikes and 2 golf carts for getting around the island. The Home Owners definitely try their best to make the experience a good one. I appreciate that. I definitely recommend Higher Porpoise!

Higher Porpoise is an Awesome PLace

Great house, great view, owners are fantastic to work with. Being next to 18th tee of Ocean Point Course is a bonus. Golf carts work perfectly, bicycles and beach chairs are extremely nice. Hard to beat.

Amazing

This property was amazing in every way possible... location, property and most importantly owners. Mr. Tony and Ms. Ruth are now part of our family. The view from the front porch and any window is unbeatable!!!! The house was perfect. Anything you could imagine was available. The use of 2 golf carts is perfect if you have several family members with you. I loved the island before but I feel like we left a home this time. I most definitely would rent again. Mr. Tony and Ms. Ruth even gave us several suggestions to purchase food items. The steaks at the ole Time meat market were fabulous!!❤ until we meet again. Thank yall for making this vacation the best one yet!!
