The house was a comfortable size for our group of six and met our needs well. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, dishes, pots, and pans, but much of the cookware should be replaced. Several pots and pans had mismatched lids, and some were no longer usable. We also experienced a few maintenance issues. The stovetop burners did not work correctly—for example, turning on the knob for a burner on the left also caused a burner on the right to heat up. The golf cart appeared to have either a faulty battery or charger, as it never seemed to reach a full charge. We reported this but were not offered a replacement golf cart. On the day we arrived, the island lost power for nearly 24 hours. We understand this was beyond anyone's control. However, when I called to ask if a flashlight could be provided, I was told there was no plan to assist renters and that someone would call me back. No one did. When I called again, I was told there was still no plan and that "we were all in it together." We had paid a substantial amount for our vacation rental and expected better support and communication during an unexpected situation. While the house itself was comfortable, the maintenance issues and the property management company's response to our concerns left us disappointed. We would happily visit Fripp again but would choose a property managed by a different company.
