Good points
It is in a good spot just outside of Santa Maria town.
A great sea view.
You can hear the waves.
There is a table and chairs outside and one lounge chair.
The apartment is spacious with a bathroom, which has shower, toilet, sink and washing machine.
The kitchen is well equipped.
Bad points
There is building work to the right spoiling the view of Santa Maria bay (although it does not block the sea view- which is wonderful).
The building work is noisy, drilling, knocking and dusty. From 8am to 5.30, with a one hour break for lunch taken around 12 noon. Surprisingly it also happens at weekends although not Christmas Day or New years day.
The entire balcony, furniture and clothes dryer had a thick film of dust/ dirt when I arrived.
Many of the pots pans and utensils need a good clean.
The apartment is very tired and is in need of redecoration throughout. With damp patches in the living room under the air conditioning unit. I did not use the air-conditioning.
The tv does not work.
There are a number of personal items (presumably belonging to the host) in the second bedroom and in the bathroom hanging on the wall.
Sadly the photos are not indicative of the standard of decoration.
The apartment is noisy, barking dogs, and other apartments general noise etc.(I took ear plugs and was able to sleep at night).
I was there at peak season and imagine at a less busy time of year it would be less noisy and more peaceful particularly when the building work is finished.
