« We enjoyed staying at 5 Shadycombe cottage. Owner sent lots of useful information by email shortly before stay. The cottage was compact, clean and well equipped. The bathrooms were a little compact. The cottage location and proximity to Salcombe allowed us to walk into town. We found fabulous art store, along with a great bakery for breakfast goods and pasties, in addition fudge, chocolate and ice cream stores all very yummy. « We had a lovely 3 day stay at Soar Mill Cove. The food is outstanding, really delicious. Breakfast was great, lots of attention to detail like homemade jams. We ended up having dinner there twice and a couple of cream teas as it was so good. Lounge area is great with the sea view, we enjoyed playing board games there. « Beautiful place to spend Christmas. Serene, with the waves crashing below. It felt very christmassy especially with the tasteful decorations that had been arranged at the property. It has a very well stocked kitchen, is very comfortable and clean – it’s just the perfect to hang out and cook. Lovely walks close by and a shortish stroll in to Salcombe. « The property was in a lovely quiet position but did feel the shop should have been open whilst people were on site because of its location. When we arrived the sofa still had some sand on, there are cobwebs in bedroom windows and some kitchen utensils were not too clean. We really enjoyed our stay and felt totally relaxed whilst there. Would recommend. »
