This was a solo trip for me to relax and recharge. This was the perfect little cottage for that! It was cozy, had everything that I needed, and was right in the heart of Saugatuck.
Overall we enjoyed our stay here--it was a great location. The only thing we didn't realize until we arrived was the steepness of the stairs and the sharp angle of the eaves. We often bumped our heads, and we could tell by the marks on the eaves that it happened to other guests as well. Might be worth mentioning in the description--especially for taller people!
This property is an excellent location near all the shops, restaurants, and bars in the downtown area. Check-in was a breeze with excellent comprehensive instructions from the host. I was concerned about the street parking, but we had no difficulty finding parking near the unit. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was good with the space available.Only suggestion for improvement the bedroom was a bit warm with the positioning of the AC unit and many of the windows were not able to be opened. Great place for two in a super location.
We absolutely loved this place and location! It was perfect for our weekend getaway. We loved being within walking distance to everything downtown. The place was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. We plan to stay again in the future. Thank you.
Overall, the location of the apartment was great. Right in the heart of downtown. However, with that comes the nightlife noise (band playing at Wallyâs) that you will be able to hear up through 2 am in the morning. It would be helpful to have a sound machine to drown out the noise. The apartment itself was clean and efficient. The check-in process and communication was flawless.
Weâve been going to Saugatuck every summer for over 20 years. This time we decided to find an apartment right in town. This apartment was beautiful. Just the right size with all the needed amenities. Location was perfect. The property was clean. We enjoyed our stay very very much, and will certainly be back to this property. We highly recommend it.
Very clean. Great location for being at the center of things. Can be a little noisy into the late summer evening. Parking can be a summer challenge too. Saugatuck is an enchanting summer resort. Will come again should the opportunity presentânext year?
Everything was outstanding with the entire process....from reserving, to communication before, during and after our stay, the check in/out process, etc. We especially loved the great location convenient to everything in downtown Saugatuck. We'll definitely reserve again. Thanks!
We enjoyed our stay, the location was great as far as walking around the town. The only downside was the loud music coming from the restaurant nearby and the partiers who continued to party in the street when the band ended. We realize Ethan has no control over the public.
It was absolutely lovely and the location was outstanding! The only recommendation I have is that the bedroom windows need blackout or some kind of darkening shades. The sunlight was very intense, and made it very hard to sleep through in the morning.
Saugatuck is where you go to "feel summer", and this place is perfect for location. Its right on Water Street and Hoffman, and absolutely everything you want to see starts just as you leave your door!
In my opinion, one can stay outside of town to save a few dollars but you'll have to drive in, go through a lot of waiting to find a parking space, not have easy bathroom access or a place to nap while awaiting the nightlife -- or -- just pay a little more for a fantastic apartment where you park once and enjoy all the town has to offer.
This is a second floor apartment (I know the layout says 1st floor . . . ) and it is just right for two people. Everything you need is there (plenty of towels for like, 12 people), and if you don't want to bother making coffee in the morning just go downstairs out the front door and within 60 seconds you can be at any one of four coffee/breakfast shops.
Everything you need to see is an easy walk. The host has excellent communication, even letting me park and lock up my expensive bike inside a gated entry (they own the entire building which has multiple units).
The apartment is very clean, well-maintained. The bed is a double and a little bouncy but we're so tired by days-end that we pretty much fell asleep immediately. Yeah, there's a little noise from the local bars that all ends at 11pm, so, big deal, right?
I make an annual trip this time of year for a major bicycle event (Holland 100) and this is now my go-to place to stay.
