« Accueil très chaleureux par la patronne. HOTEL familial perdu au fond d’une vallée. Style ancien mais très propre, pratique fonctionnelle, fonctionnel, grandes chambres. HOTEL à 1000  mètres d altitude. Repas possible sur place, dernière commande à 19h30, carte limitée mais correcte à prix suisses par contre….petit déjeuner correct avec Ovomaltine et surtout machine à café Jura topissime. On recommande, bon rapport qualité prix en Suisse. »

« The staff at the front desk were terribly Friendly- MS REBECCA, KUSEY (hope I got it right) and the very lovely GM of the hotel. She offered my husband the local beer which was a very kind gesture. We were surprised at the respectfulness, friendliness and everything that you can ask from a front desk staff. The hotel is very clean and the breakfast buffet was delicious. My husband enjoyed the bacon. »

« The most uncomfortable accommodations but inexpensive Appenzell you can’t be picky if you’re on a budget. The room, including the en suite bathroom is no bigger than a standard American bathroom, airless, windowless, and claustrophobic. We did not sleep, no air quality controls. However, the establishment is charming, the breakfast was ample and the staff is ultra kind and the hotel\restaurant is a five minute walk from the train station and superbly located- loved Appenzell and the surrounding...
