Located on the east side of Hwy 1, this meadow home is a quick one-mile drive to the Sea Ranch Golf Links or just a mile further to Gualala Point Regional Park and town.



Once inside the charming Casa Contenta, you'll head up the stairs to the living room, kitchen, and dining area. This bright and open space boasts tall wood beam ceilings, lots of windows, and a wood stove for chilly coast evenings.



Watch a DVD on the Blu-ray player or use the iPod dock to listen to your favorite music through the Bose speakers. For families, there's a cute nook for the kids to play and a selection of movies and games.



A deck off the living room is a great place for your morning coffee or an afternoon spent with a good book. There's also a gas grill if the weather is nice.



Back inside, the full kitchen will make preparing meals a breeze. This is your private retreat for the duration of your stay -- full run of the house. The private hot tub is available around the clock -- no reservation needed. Driveway parking is available at the property. Detailed check-in instructions, including the door code, will be provided prior to your arrival. As a guest, you also have access to Sea Ranch community amenities including the pools, tennis courts, and miles of trails. A recreation pass will be provided.



The Neighborhood:

You can easily pick up groceries at Surf Market or head south on the highway for eight miles to reach the Sea Ranch Lodge and its restaurant, small gift shop, and stunning bluff-top location. Between the coastal trails, tidepools, heated pools, and The Sea Ranch Lodge's restaurant, you could fill a week without leaving the community. Gualala is a quick 10-minute drive north for groceries, dining, and fuel. For a scenic outing, Jenner and Bodega Bay are further down Highway 1.



Getting Around:

On days you don't comb the beach, soak in the private hot tub, or wander the bluff trail, a day trip to Mendocino is about 52 miles north along the coast. Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport (STS) in Santa Rosa is the nearest airport, about 1.5 hours east. A car is essential for exploring the area.

Sea Ranch has three recreation centers with heated pools, saunas, and tennis courts. Access passes are provided with your stay -- check availability upon arrival as these shared amenities can be popular during peak times.

December through April is whale season. You may spot gray whales breaching right from the bluff trail nearby. Wildflower season (April-June) transforms the coastal bluffs into a tapestry of color -- worth an extra walk on the trails. Summer offers long days and warm afternoons, though the iconic Sonoma Coast fog often rolls in at sunrise and clears by noon.
