Girls Birthday Celebration Trip

Great property and location. 6 women stayed for a birthday celebration. Days of hiking, shopping or touring with afternoons back at the house chilling at the pool with drinks and evenings in the hot tub.

Village of Oak Creek Oasis

Great location in quiet neighborhood. Close to well equipped grocery store, great bakery, and restaurants. We hiked daily (early/7am) and got to all trailheads within 15-25 minutes. Having the Red Rock pass was a fantastic perk! The trail books provided were also super helpful. The pool was very refreshing in the hot afternoons and hot tub was great for star gazing and early mornings! The daily temps got up to 100 - we did not heat the pool and it was lovely (a little cold upon entry, but felt great!). The house was very clean, offered lots of space, and had a well stocked kitchen. Check-in and check-out was also a breeze. Would definitely recommend this property.

The house is located in a quiet neighborhood within minutes of many trails and hikes and close to Sedona as well nice interior and exterior amenities are also included such as pool and hot tub and grill and ample seating both inside and out

Sedona dreams

Beautiful property and great location. Quiet neighborhood but still close to restaurants and grocery. Pool was huge and the hot tub worked perfectly. Only thing missing was one kitchen spatula which made flipping eggs a challenge. That was the only thing missing from this house! Highly recommend for large families or fun quiet groups.

A Few challenges

Overall the property inside is beautiful and well furnished. Outside is beautiful except there are NO outdoor lights. So don’t heat the pool bc you can’t really use it once it’s dark!1. The bed was not converted to a king which I requested and was charged for. I called to inform them however when they came to convert it after we had arrived someone came in without notification or knocking. We all felt extremely violated that a staff person would let themselves into the property without being let in or without notification. We were a group of women that was very disconcerting!3. There was no laundry detergent! When you book a house with laundry you expect that since they said it would be there. 4. The pool cover was broken so the pool wasn’t as warm after day 1, 100 is tough to lose.

Family Vacation

Beautiful and clean house in a wonderful neighborhood. Lots of hiking and a beautiful golf course nearby. Bonus that they gave us a pass for parking to hike the nearby trails The kids had a great time in the pool.

Pool heater & mouse poop

Stay was good. Just tell guests that the pool heater doesnt work. Dont just take the 100 per day. On top of that pool cleaners came on new years eve afternoon and drained the hot tub... that was ridiculous. We waited and waited for it to heat up.Mouse poop found on the pull out bed.

Perfect place for a family gathering!

We had a fabulous time at the gecko retreat! The house is set up perfectly for families. Lots of room and open space. Hot tub was a favorite but the pool was also popular!! Great blow up toys for pool use. The ping pong table was an added bonus. We’ll be back for sure!

Elopement

My now husband and I stayed here while we eloped in Sedona. It was very relaxing with many amenties that we wanted. Although, there are always cons to the pros. As a professional cleaner, the grout joints and base boards need a deep clean and scrub, along with the walls around the toilets.

Girls Trip

Sedona Golf Weekend

This has been a yearly golf trip that we’ve been going on for over 25 years, and this is definitely one of the nicest homes and well kept homes we’ve had. It’s convenient to the golf courses and all the sights including downtown Sedona and we’re already booked it for next year.

Gecko retreat stay

What an incredible property. Super clean, so much space, pool was perfect for such hot weather. The property had just about every single utensil and kitchen item you’d ever need. We will definitely be back! The only thing that we may have wanted to change is being a bit closer to the downtown area. This property is located about 25-30 minutes of most activities in Sedona. But the benefit of that is it was quieter! The other thing is the property photos shows some type of shading or pergola by the pool. That was not on the property and the shaded area is a must for the hot outdoor stone tiles! Other than that, we loved loved loved this place!

Perfect!!

Such a perfect house, location, pool, and stay!! We had a family get together with our kids and grandkids snd very happy we chose Gecko Retreat. The kids said the pool was their most fun thing on the trip 2nd to playing with their cousins. The red rock views from the pool area were wonderful, neighborhood was quiet and so pretty. Everything inside the house was really nice from the dishes, games, towels, decorations, ping pong - we enjoyed it all. We loved our stay in Sedona area and hope to get back sometime. Highly recommend this property!

Relaxing family vacation spot!

Large single floor property with pool! Hot tub was delivered during our stay which will be a great addition. House is quiet and comfortable. We had 6 guests and could have easily had more. Great views, close to everything in Sedona.

Exactly as advertised

This home has lots of functional indoor space. An abundance of countertops and stools, tables and chairs, and the master bedroom has a separate sitting area. The interior colors and decor are light and bright, really nice. There are an abundance of pool and bath towels, bedding and pillows, and literature on the local area. The neighborhood and location is PERFECT. Close to everything but not to busy. It's an easy walk to the store and restaurants but also quiet and easy to see the stars at night. However, we couldn't get the fireplaces to work. None of them. Maybe, they were out of propane or maybe there was a master switch that we didn't know about. It was slightly disappointing but not a big deal enough deal to call the management company because in general we had really good weather. We don't think the property gets landscaped. There were broken branches in the front yard and over grown shrubs and weeds in the back yard. But, nothing that got in the way of the beauty or enjoyment of the home. Lastly, our adult daughter was supposed to take the trip with us but 3 weeks before the trip she had a life threatening medical emergency. I contacted the management company to see if I could change the days of our stay and thier l only response was that I should of bought the insurance. It was difficult to make this trip with an ill family member left at home but, we did. Overall, I recommend this property. *but buy the insurance

Wonderful house and pool

The house was very nice. Convenient location close to a grocery and restaurants. A short and scenic drive from Sedona. The pool was the perfect escape from the heat. We really enjoyed our stay and would book this location again.

4th of July Family reunion

LOVED this property! perfect layout for multiple families. Kitchen was FULLY stocked with every cooking utensil, Plates, cups etc. Plenty of extra towels and blankets and pool towels! All remotes, lights, etc labeled for easy use. Great outdoor area near pool and another sitting area near BBQ Lots of helpful reference materials at the property, beautiful views and closer to oak creek but only minutes to uptown Sedona Definitely loved staying here!

Highly recommend!

This property was very clean and just as represented in the posting. We loved being in the Village of Oak Creek vs. Sedona proper. It was a quiet, peaceful setting with a view of the Red Rocks from the pool deck. We enjoyed seeing the geckos/lizards scurry around in the morning hours. We had an issue of the lockbox not working upon arrival (which was after hours). It took a bit of time to get someone on the 'I Love Sedona' emergency line, but from that point on everyone was very helpful in getting us into the house and fixing the issue the next day. We were close to a grocery store, several restaurants, and multiple hikes. This is a great location to sit and relax while also being close to many hikes and activities. A nice bonus was the use of their annual Red Rocks pass to use at the hike parking lots. One small recommendation would be to include a few more kitchen items...cheese grater, additional cooking spatulas, etc. We made it work but felt the available items were minimal.
