The refrigerator still leaking after being all Frozen up the first night we got here had to have maintenance interrupt our vacation time, did jacuzzi is unable to be used as a Jacuzzi it sits now as a garden tub because the lines have mowed in them and if you turn on the Jets you get black mold in your water, master bedroom or the bedroom in the middle the lights you can't use the switches you have to pull the chain which is really really old school and very very tacky, none of the sliding glass doors lock properly, the water faucet in the kitchen only puts out hot water the cold water side barely runs, in the bedroom upstairs at the game room the plugs in that room are worn out, as are most of the plugs in this place, the ceiling over the jacuzzi has had a leak more than once and it looks like the boards are going to give way, we had to go by a propane tank to use the grill at the cost of some 25 to 30 I have the receipt, and not to be Petty but we had to put batteries in the controllers not all of them but some of them then a bulb went out in the antler chandelier above the table so yes you are out of a ball but it was burned out, and when I asked Jason about a Keurig coffee pot or what kind they had he said they did you all do not have a Keurig coffee pot in mountain Man but fortunately I know how to make coffee in a regular pot. I have pictures but it will not let me upload my photos. I will never stay with this property Management ever again. My whole trip was planne

Girls Trip

The check in process was easy, they sent a code for the door so no need to go anywhere to check in. As soon as we arrived we noticed a lot of bees all around the cabin, but they never bothered us. The cabin was clean for the most part. The stove/oven could definitely use a good cleaning, and the jacuzzi tub in the master as well. When you turn the jets on gross stuff comes flying out. The location was good, it was close enough to everything, but far enough away to stay out of the craziness of town. Also, the sliding glass doors do not lock, but most of them had wood to use as a way to not be able to open the doors. We had an issue with the breaker upstairs tripping, but we were able to get it fixed on our own. Any time I reached out to Justin he was very good about responding in a decent amount of time. Overall, it was a good stay with just a few little things that would not keep me from booking again.

Beautifull Cabin

What a cool cabin. We had a blast playing foosball, the grandaughters enjoyed the hot tub, and what Gorgeous views from the back windows and deck, the decor was awesome, from the rustic wooden dining room table to the bear carvings and fox and hornets nest up in the vaulted cieling.

The view

Being able to watch the sun rise each morning over the mountain was beautiful! We enjoyed sitting out on the deck just taking in the surroundings and the hot tub in the evenings. We were able to spot a bear and some other wildlife in the distance. Justin in Kari were quick to get back to us on any questions we had. The cabin had everything we needed.

Pathetic Experience and not much help

1. Multiple lights were not , even balcony lights were not working , so you can’t seat outside. No help after raising this complain. 2. Barbecue was not clean and you can’t use it without filling gas and there is no light also outside, it’s pathetic 3.water was dirty in bathroom , some blank things were coming. 4. Pipe leakage in one of the bathroom, you will feel like it’s raining from top and it was really bad water. 5. Not at all secure gates 6. Last day of our stay no water was available since morning too. 7. Nobody will be there to welcome you or any help also, Justin responds only in message ,but that also not at all helpful. Please stay away from this property.

Disappointed /unprofessional

Reservation was cancelled 30 min before arrival by email no phone call or text was made. Got inside cabin and connected to wifi and then the email came through. Called and was just told plumbing issue and no help was offered or trying to find another cabin or place to stay after driving 5 hours. Reservation was cancelled without any consultation or input leaving us without a place to stay for the night with our two children, and at that it was after hours for multiple other rental options or outside their time requirements. Thus we ended up having to scatter to find a suitable and safe hotel at an additional cost for the night. In addition the payment sum provided for the reservation took 4 days leaving limited funds to find another suitable option and activities to actually enjoy our vacation.I understand that things happen but the lack of communication is unacceptable.

2 Families' review

The cabin was the perfect size and accommodations for our group of 11. The kids really enjoyed the games that were in the cabin and the kitchen was well stocked for what we were cooking while there. We enjoyed being able to see a bear from the deck of the cabin while there as well. However, when we entered the cabin it looked like whoever was cleaning left halfway through and did not return. There was dirty rags on a couple of surfaces. The sink was full of dirty dishes and there was a pot that still had food with mold on it sitting next to the sink. The dishwasher appears to not work because it was full of dirty dishes and the soap door had not opened so we hand washed dishes all week. The cabin owner did offer to send a cleaning crew back to clean up the mess but we had already cleaned it all up. On the last morning we found mice or rat droppings on the floor in the basement. It had not been there when we arrived.

Great vacation!

Our experience with this property was wonderful. It’s close to so many activities in both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The cabin is beautiful, clean and stocked with all the essentials. Communication with the host was always prompt from booking right through our stay.

Mountain Man Cabin

Beautiful, cozy cabin in a great location between Townsend and Pigeon Forge. Clean and inviting, new decking and parking for 3 cars. Host is responsive but not super helpful. We had to buy propane for the grill. The tank was empty and we were told to buy our own. Bears were at the cabin everyday and we loved seeing them, but if you have small kids, watch them closely. One door on the porch doesn’t open so you can’t get back into the house quickly if a bear approaches. Overall a great place to stay in the mountains. Loved the location and would stay there again.

Great weekend stay

Little notes on the fridge let us know everything we needed as soon as we walked in! The video for the lock on the door helps to lock and unlock it which was great! Our host was so communicative and made our stay so easy and stress free! Even messaged me back within 5 minutes at 3am with a silly question I figured I'd get a response for in the morning! My two year old nephew was so amazed seeing bears walk right up to our cabin! Over all loved our stay and would highly recommend! Even the store staff was super helpful and a five-ten minute drive away!

Sister reunion

Property was as described, good location to attractions. Needs a little more attention to repairs and cleaning. Found cleaning crew didn’t sweep or vacuum under or behind furniture. Upstairs lacks a/c ducts so hotter air than rest of unit. We were not disappointed in the unit overall.

Watch for bears

This is an older log house in pretty good shape. It appears that some outside work was recently completed. You can tell that bears are present, there was a lot of trash on the mountainside. I guess that can be expected. Should you visit beware of the bears, I had one stick his nose through the screen about 15 inches from my elbo while we were sitting on the new deck with hot tubers. Bears visited every day, no problem with that. Don't feed them and don't get close. Be sure to take extra daily use products, toilet paper, towels, extra chairs, cookware, silverware. Cell coverage is spotty at best, no real TV unless you login with your own services. Don't forget to logoff. The upstairs bedroom was hot but got better over a couple days. This isn't the worst place I've stayed in the mountains but it's not the best either. It was OK for a family reunion. I won't honestly say well use this one next time. But it was OK for the price. Overall the group had a great time, especially in the hot tub. That was great!

Renter Beware

The property manager Justin was terrible. Would not call us or help us. The property was dirty, hot tub not working, and low water pressure on first day. We used message thread to get help and was told maintenance man was coming that day. No one ever showed up even though they said they did. Was told the well for water was dried up even during the heavy rains. They would not escalate the ticket to VRBO. So we had zero running water. Pics to prove no water with toliets filled with fecal matter. Host Justin said via message thread we could check out early with no penalty...no refund also... VRBO finally got involved but its still an open case. AVADA property refunded 2.5 nights of a 5 night stay (only the night rate nothing else) never new i would have to fight VRBO or a property manager for safe rental with water or a refund for this situation.
