Loved the house and the location. Construction is going on but easily overlooked for all the great attributes of the rental. Will certainly stay here again.
Needed a family cabin for all adults, where everyone had own BR and bathroom. This one fit the bill and was in budget!Pros: location was super for what we needed (access to the fairgrounds). Parking worked fine. New build so decor was up to date and rather nice. The mtn view was beautiful and the pool table was fun! Communication was quick when questions/concerns arose. Cons: master bath clean towels left on floor. Big patched area in master bath which is better than the hole but why not fix the right way? Master BR king bed doesnât need the footboard bc the room is too small- watch your legs! Floors were not clean on arrival. Neither TV in basement had remotes and we were told to use remotes from elsewhere in Josie but they didnât connect so we used our Bluetooth radio when playing pool. Top step of first landing had loose piece and SIL tripped a few times. Upstairs en suite shower faucet would NOT turn past half way so water would not get hot- we were asked if we knew how to use the faucet and if multiple people were taking showers at once, over and over. No. The faucet just turned wasnât set up the right way. Outdoor trash and had no lids and were not bear proof which was surprising. This is a neighborhood under construction so keep that in mind. Would stay here again but if price was higher would have second thoughts.
Typically when arriving at a rental we walk in, set our stuff down, and begin to enjoy the property and area. NOT THIS TIME.Upon entering we noticed the dirty floors, two curtains off their rods, marks, scuffs, and dirt on EVERY wall and trim, the hole in the bathroom wall that had been hastily patched with patch material on the floor below it, the furniture was shifted around, a ceiling light cover laying on the floor and another missing. And from there it just continued noticing things that were dirty or damaged. Construction materials and mess outside was not limited to the construction sites. Trash - including bottles, cans, balls, plastic sheeting, etc.were on every side of the property. The egg-style chairs outside had been hastily assembled because my husband had one collapsed while he was in it. We noticed the bolts connecting them had fallen out and the bolts on the other chair were also loose. My father in law nearly fell down the stairs when a piece of bull nose trim came up and pulled off. Numerous pieces of trim were pulling away from the wall. A kitchen cabinet was crooked and didn't close, and the same for the door to the master bath. When I contacted Samuel he didn't mention anything about the fall and potential fall in his response and merely responded that there had been college parties and "it was a whole thing". I requested he refund our cleaning fee because the property was so dirty and in disrepair, but he dismissed the concerns as "cosmetic".
