« Perfect location »

« I was locked out of my room for 12 hours because the lock wasn’t working. Tried 4 new keys and no one knew how to change the battery on the lock until the next shift came in. Every time I needed back in my room I had to go find the front desk person and have them unlock my door with the master key. Do you know how hard it is to always find a person at the front desk on a weekday??? They would put a sign out on the counter when no one was there and it said to ring the bell or call a certain phone...

« We called down to front desk around 7am to request house keeping for sheets and towels. The gal said ok and took our room number. When we arrived back to the room 12 hours later, nothing had been touched! We spoke to the employee on duty at the front desk and she had several excuses and wasn't apologetic. She said in order for us to get fresh towels, we'd have to bring down the dirty ones. Bedding wasn't even mentioned. Back to the room we go and gather up towels and pillow cases. She...

« The check in was super smooth and the agent very friendly. The room was comfy and there was ample parking. »

« The staff was friendly and quick to answer questions. It was in a safe area with quick access to Ames and Iowa State campus. The room and shared spaces were clean. The room had blackout curtains that did their job well. The air-conditioning was easy to adjust in the room and was not noisy. Our room had a microwave and fridge that were very clean and functional. « Our stay for one night was fine, but it's a rather tired hotel. You can just tell by little things like dirty hallways with old carpet, a wobbly toilet, and old furniture,that it's been around awhile. »
