„From the moment we arrived, to the moment we left, we had nothing but friendly attentive service from the staff at the pub. We were fortunate to be upgraded from a room in the pub to one of the relatively new lodges. The lodge was immaculate on arrival and very comfortable and well equipped. We had breakfast included and this was first class with locally sourced food included. We had two evening dinners at the pub and both were excellent from the very varied menu on offer. “

Haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, war das beste Hotel in unserer England-Reise. Wonderful historic hotel with excellent food, amazing rooms; by far the nicest place to stay during our South England trip. „We stayed in the garden suite. It was lovely. My only criticism would be that one of the legs on the futon in the living room area was broken. Our Daughter said the bed in the smaller bedroom wasn't very comfortable so we used spare duvets and a blanket to make it more comfortable. The small garden area was ideal for our dogs to be able to give them some space to toilet etc. The food in the pub was very nice, my only criticism would be the lack of vegetarian options. „we spent there one night only. It is beautyful place with nice garden and even a playground for the kids. Breakfast was very good. Made to order eggs and a good cold buffet. Just fresh fruit missing. Room was big and clean, free Wifi - however our room just had one small window and we were not able to get a good ventilation. It was too warm to sleep. Other families told us about rooms with 3 or more windows which were much better.“
