Family Trip

Overall the condo was very nice. However, two bedrooms did not have TV's nor did they have a dresser for clothes. The view from the balcony was nice except that you are slightly above the roof of the hotel in front of Sapphire. It does take away from the view of the beach unfortunately. Only one pool was open during our stay and was very crowded. The hot tub was closed.

The condo was great and location was amazing. Here is what I would suggest: Hard to find wifi and password. We found a drinking glass broken in the cabinet and that should have been found by whoever cleans before we arrive. The paper towel holder needs to be replaced by a heavier one so it does not fall over so easily. There was lots of lotion but not a lot of shampoo and conditioner. The number to call if there is an issue should be on the refrig and also the wifi info. We had a lovely time so thank you for having us. We did drive over to see space x and it was amazing.

Good place with exceptions

We were very excited to stay here. The condo looked great online and for the most part, it did meet that expectation. We got checked in with no issues and the lobby and staff are great. It is awesome that they keep spring break crowds out. It was nice and quiet on our end. The room had different furniture than what was online which is no issue, we had just hoped for the bunk beds that were in the picture that are not there. Room had everything we needed from cooking to sleeping. The views are absolutley amazing and worth it. Overall a great place to stay.

Excellent location and stirring views

We stayed at 1901 in the north tower of Sapphire for a full week. The location is excellent, as it is away from the busiest part of South Padre Island and yet within a five-minute drive of most places. The apartment is well-maintained and fits the description offered in the online listing.

Nice getaway

We made the most of our teenager's "remote learning" and spent 3 days here doing school & playing on the beach. The wifi held up great for 3 teenagers and my husband ;-) The pool was nice. If I were hauling small kids and beach toys it would be a long way to the beach, but it was fine for us. I wish the condo had a few "extras" like beach towels and beach chairs and it was missing a few "basics" like paper towels, and hot pads. We had trouble with one of the tv's but I called the management company and they were very nice and solved the problem right away. It was great to be able to see the sunrise from one balcony and the sunset from the other! The kitchen window has the most amazing view!!

Amazing Stay

The location, property, and unit were nothing short of perfect! Everything was immaculately clean. The front desk staff were helpful and friendly. The condo was quiet, comfortable and had amazing views of both beach and bay! We are already looking forward to our trip back.

Stop lookin and book it!

Pros: View is amazing. Plenty of space. Property is super clean. Beach is very close and beach is amazing. Not white sands like Destin, but just as nice and water is calmer. Washer and dryer and full kitchen in unit are very nice to have. Cons: (only if I'm being picky - not the condo owners fault but still worth mentioning) there is no bar or restaurant on the property. We were expecting a resort style feel. The place definitely feels like a resort minus a bar and restaurant (S). Not even a place to get coffee in the morning. That's really all I could think of! Would definitely stay here again.

Great location. Great amenities. The condo was large, very comfortable. Very clean. Free, fast WiFi. The condo is very close to the beach, very easy walking distance, probably a 7-minute walk.

Amazing Views, adequate space, a little run down

First and foremost the location and views were killer. The condo had enough beds and bathrooms and those were fairly nice. The living room furniture needed to be replaced. Really worn and dirty. The AC didn’t work the first night...so we called the property manager and they had someone out the next day to reset the unit. It worked fine after that, but I shouldn’t have had to call to get the AC to work. There were minor odds and ends things that were missing...like a wine opener. So we bought one and left it for the next guests. Overall, not a bad experience, but could’ve been much better. I’d definitely stay at the Sapphire, but I probably won’t rent that unit again. I’ve stayed in better units there.

Issue with cancellation policy

Unit was fine. Issue with property management company. I had a family emergency and tried to cancel 50 days out from stay. La Copa's cancellation policy did not allow me to refund. I could not transfer the dates due to travel and schedules. Hence, we wasted our money. I will never stay at Sapphire again nor will I ever use La Copa management.

Great Room and accommodations.

Great room and views of the bay side and beach side, the Pearl Roof is the only thing not shown in the pictures that it kind of an eye sore for this tower. The height of the room, 19th floor, was enough to look past the roof, but it’s still like, boom, right there! The beds and rooms were great. The management is on top of everything and very helpful. Washer and dryer, pans and dishes in unit was an added bonus. The pool was fabulous and the access to the Pearl pool, food, and boating excursions was nice. We enjoyed the easy access to the bridge and SPI shops. This is a great place to stay. We will be back!!

We had an amazing time in South Padre. Condo 1901 was perfect for our stay. We were able to have space for the six of us. We also enjoyed the amazing views from the balconies. The pool was also very nice. The beach was fantastic.

Enjoyed our stay

My wife and I normally stay at SPI at twice a year. This was our first time at the Sapphire. We were both impressed. I was really impressed the view from the 19th floor. The unit has two balconies, one facing the ocean, and the other facing the bay which provided for great views of both sunrise and sunset. Most of the rooms had large windows with more great views, although I suspect the view from south tower might be a bit better (further away from the neighboring hotel). While the strict policy around limited guests might seem excessive, in the end it is for the best. I have stayed at Saida numerous times and the pools tend be over crowded. We were allowed to check in early which was greatly appreciated. The check in process at La Copa hotel followed by registration at the Sapphire was painless and easy. The covered parking lot was also a bonus.
