« Room clean and spacious but, shower cold and bathroom. On arrival told to look at a board regarding breakfast and told breakfast only continental even though not showing on booking that continental only? Breakfast awful pan au chocolate burnt on outside raw inside other guests noticed too. Also lack of dishes spoons for cereal husband used another guest spoon after they had finished! As no staff about. Pile of hot cross buns piled on plate ? No hot water for tea or coffee. Other guests...

Just two thingxx as though which need improvement: - Wi-Fi was patchy at best. - Having gone to bed about 11, I couldn’t get to sleep because the bar music was blaring out into the courtyard below my room window and ended up phoning the hotel at11.30 to ask them to turn it off - though to be fair they did do that. »

« This was definitely the best accomodation we had during our two week trip of the UK. Fiona and Steve were very welcoming hosts. The historic house is cozy, as is the guest lounge and breakfast room. The lounge is equipped with a quality stereo system, a record player and a large and truly excellent selection of LPs.
