South West Coast Path Section 41 Trailhead

Although our stay was fleeting (just one night) we were made to feel extremely welcome by all of the staff. The room lacked a TV, but actually this was an absolute blessing and it made change not to reach for a remote control. Instead there was a DAB radio which was playing a soothing Classic FM when we entered our rather classy country pub hotel. Everything was to a very high standard in our room. We were even welcomed with a short, signed note on quality card wishing us personally, a warm and relaxing stay, which set the tone for a wonderful stay. The bathroom had a white, classically styled bathroom suite, with high quality furnishings and a powerful rainfall mains shower. The shower screen could have been a little longer as despite trying to be careful, the beautiful grey LVT floor got a soaking! Warm towels and organic shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Our stay was extremely comfortable and despite being in a room facing the road, we weren't really bothered as the bed was comfy. I did overheat a few times in the night, despite turning the GCH radiator down earlier in the evening, but that's more a reflection on me rather than the feather down quilt. In summary, classy country feel pulled off immaculately by our warm hosts We would not hesitate to stay again and perhaps this time stay for a meal which looks sumptuous. Thank you to all.

Nice little one night stopover visiting Bude. Ample parking and easy to find. Straight road into Bude. A little isolated so make sure you buy supplies from Bude on the way back. A few spiderwebs and bugs in the room when we arrived but only because the window was left open thankfully because it was such a hot day. Paula the host was very helpful and friendly start to finish. Will stay again if we visit Bude again.
