« this place was out in the middle of nowhere but was amazing. It was so quiet you could hear your ears ringing. the sky was clear and beautiful we saw shooting stars, the milky way and just beautiful night sky. if your in to books this is a place to explore. the owner had to have thousands of books and they were all well organized. some of the books were published in the early 1900’s. the host was very friendly and I am assuming that he put a lot of love into building this home. « The home is very clean. The host was easy to contact and was helpful with all of our questions. The beds were comfortable and the location of the home was perfect for all of our activities we did at the lake, the gorge, and in Fayetteville. The hot tub was great for relaxing at the end of the day. I am very happy we stayed at this property and would not hesitate to stay here again when we are back in the NRG area. »

« This was a well equipped and comfortable house in a convenient and beautiful location. We enjoyed Charlie and Red and feeding them apples. Our whole time was very enjoyable and we were able to do everything that we wanted to in the area. We want to send our thanks to the owners of this guest house for allowing us to stay here. « Three families with teens and tweens had a wonderful time this weekend. We were steps from the slopes and had everything for a comfortable and fun weekend. The three teen boys loved the bunk/gameroom. The hot tub was a great place to warm up after skiing. We will absolutely be back. »

« We always look for cabins close to our family when we come to town. This cabin is very close to a lot of great places to eat and beautiful nature to see. Cabin has a nice game room that we enjoyed. Would definitely rent again. »

« The house and property are excellent. Getting up the main road and the driveway with a boat is tricky - narrow and lots of turns but once at the property it is great. The decor is up to date and relevant with the seasonal themes for the bedrooms. Great open concept for the living area. Just a couple very small areas to clean a little better but I am sure the owner will take care of them as he is on site and very connected to make this a top notch experience for guests. « House was very nice. Owners have all normal amenities along with some other added touches such as coffee, toilet paper and paper towels. We had one issue and owner was quick to respond with a repair. The house wasvrt very comfortable. »

« The song Country Road is the perfect backdrop while driving down the scenic route to Boulder Trail Getaway. The house is wayyyy back off the main road but the tranquility of the deep woods is incredible. The house is very comfortable and (5) women had plenty of room to move around. The hot tub and great fire pit kept everyone entertained. The kitchen was well supplied with pots/pans and small appliances that made making meals easy. Nice gas grill too! Great vacation home. »

« We wanted a relaxing getaway for a long weekend and that's exactly what we got. The house is located right on the river and we spent our mornings and evenings on the deck enjoying the view. It is within an hour to New River Gorge National Park and several state parks. There is plenty of space to explore near the house with the Elk River Trail right across the road. The house is clean and well-equipped and the owners are very communicative. We would definitely stay here again if we are going to...
