This whole experience was amazing start to finish. The location is perfect. It’s just around the corner from the main river and Roger’s Park, but on a canal so not too much traffic in your backyard. There was, however, plenty of manatee traffic. We spent a good portion of our time there just watching the water from the dock or the screened in patio. In addition to the manatees, we saw loads of fish, some turtles, even an otter without even leaving the house. The kayak selection was super appreciated as we were first timers and it was nice to be able to try the kayaks and the SUP boards to find our preferences. Our 9-year-old loved paddling on the youth kayak, swimming and snorkeling in the canal, using the rope swing and inflatable lounge chair, as well as the new lily pad that he was honored to break in. There was fishing equipment, a fire pit, lots of outdoor seating. The house itself had everything we could have needed. The bathrooms had shampoo, conditioner, & body wash in each shower. There were plenty of bath & beach towels, wash cloths, etc. In the closet of the queen bedroom, there were loads of life jackets & whistles, extra pillows & blankets, a couple fans, extra laundry baskets. There was detergent & laundry sheets in the laundry room. The kitchen was fully stocked. We used the blender and keurig daily. The living room was comfy with 2 full sofas. Ceiling fans everywhere, which was a plus. Deron was super helpful & responsive. We can’t wait to come back!
