Excellent place to stay and probably one of my favorite properties that we have ever stayed at. Very quiet but also close enough to State College and Bellafonte that the location is convenient. The cabin is fairly new and very clean. Someone took the time to put fresh flowers in two places in the cabin. There is a nice little Amish farm right up the road that serves lunch and has homemade ice cream on Saturdays. Lots of good restaurants within 15-20 minutes. For breakfast, go to the diner in Boalsburg!
Perfect size for a weekend get away. Beautifully kept home. We fished the stream right on the property. Very cozy. Close restaurants to try. Enjoyed the peacefulness of the area. Definitely will return.
My wife and I stayed here for our sonâs graduation from Penn State. The drive is only 30 minutes to campus and was affordable compared to the prices the hotel chains were charging. The positives:- Would stay here again even with the negatives outlined below- Very quiet- Property is owned by Amish and kept very clean- All the amenities youâll need for a short or long stay- Plenty of space for a couple, family, or a few friends- Felt safe- Property Manager was helpful trying to find the place and figure out the WiFi - Soft towels and the bathroom soaps were greatThe negatives:- GPS took us to a different location about 1/2 mile down the road. Fortunately we found it, but was hard to find in the dark- No mobile phone service and the WiFi was not working the entire time even after hours of troubleshooting. Since the WiFi was down, we were not able to watch TV. You could make calls, but you had to be outside about 10 feet from the front door - Need instructions for using the WiFi - Very squeaky bedroom door which woke up my wife in the morning - Need additional, large pillows for the bed- Need to reset all the clocks in the house when to power goes out- Water pulses a bit in the shower, but plenty of water pressure Advice:- Screen shot or write down the code to get in ahead of time as you will not be able to load any applications on your phone- Bring board games or a book to read - Bring air mattresses if friends are joining you or for the kids
This cute little house is located right in the woods with a beautiful trout stream. We sat in the hot tub and watched all the wildlife come to the river. Beautiful place to get away.
Over all a good stay. Nice location, clean, beds hard , but for 2 days it worked. Only real issue was the listing had a $50 fee for a pet. Ended up receiving 2 $50 fees. Which was/is confusing.
We loved the location and natural beauty and were genuinely happy. We enjoyed the quiet! The bed is really hard so
Would recommend you bring a topper if you require softer mattress. Honestly that is my only complaint as I have a spinal condition and couldnât sleep. Otherwise it is com
We stayed at the property during Parentsâ Weekend at Penn State University. The property was clean, comfortable, and just a 20 minute drive from campus. It was perfect.
