First time I have ever cut a trip short. This place is advertised as a “Cabin in the Woods”. It is in fact a Trailer in the host’s backyard.
Just make sure you know what you a getting. This is an incredibly tiny converted trailer, by no stretch of the imagination is it a cabin.
To make matters worse, the host was unpleasant, and at times downright hostile. She should seriously reconsider if hospitality is right for her. You are located on her property, essentially in her yard, so there is no privacy and she’s makes that very clear from the moment you arrive.
Place is advertised as dog friendly but the host has a problem with dogs, telling us that our dog makes her three yapping dogs uncomfortable.
Upon letting her know that we are leaving early because we couldn’t stay another night with our infant in such a small place, her response was “Good. I’m glad you’re leaving”. I think she was offended we called her place a trailer but… it’s a home on wheels, it’s much closer to a trailer than a cabin.
Charging $500 nightly for this stay is criminal. If you’re looking for a tiny home getaway, you can get much better value elsewhere. And hopefully better host.
