There was a group of 4 of us - we're moms of Flagler College students. This was our second stay at Casa DeSoto. We loved it so much the first time, we had to go back! The location is fantastic - walkable to all of downtown St. Augustine and even across the Bridge of Lions. Equally as convenient to Ice Plant, Fish Camp, and the Distillery. The neighborhood is quaint and quiet. And there's even a little lake a couple of blocks over. The house itself is the best. It's spacious and clean. Even the outdoor grill grates were spotless! There's nothing they don't provide. From the welcome bottle of wine to newspaper and firestarter for the fire pit. There's soap, shampoo, laundry detergent, beach towels, all of the kitchen amenities, tons of firewood, and so much more. The rooms are all good size and so well decorated and the beds are comfortable. The front patio is the best place for chatting with morning coffee. All of the plants make you feel like you're at a tropical resort. It's private but open enough to see the few people that walk by. The back patio is kept private with bamboo and other plants. We enjoyed a few fires in the firepit in the evenings and hung out and chatted while grilling one night. Can't say enough good things about Casa DeSoto. Even down to the conveniences like a good amount of off-street parking, easy-to-use keypad, and the check-out process isn't burdensome like many other places. Love it, love it, love it!
