Good Apartment but Some Items to Note

We had an overall good stay at this VRBO apartment, though there were a few things to note. The apartment is a good size, and I liked that both bedrooms are at opposite ends for added privacy. The building is conveniently located next to a grocery store and only one block from the beach, with plenty of restaurants and attractions nearby. Check-in was smooth, and the place was clean. We enjoyed the heated pool and hot tub, especially in the mornings when it wasn't crowded.However, the apartment faces a busy street, so be prepared for noise during the day and even at night, especially on weekends. Additionally, we experienced roofing work during our stay, which was extremely noisy and disrupted our privacy as they accessed the roof right in front of our balcony.The patio furniture was different from what was pictured, and one of the bedrooms faces the building hallway, so it was quite bright at night (we had to use eye masks). The bathroom lights also activate noisy, outdated vents, which was a bit annoying. The kitchen disposal didn't work, though I’m unsure if this was intentional. On the plus side, it was great to have a working washer and dryer in the unit.Just a heads-up, if you stay longer than 3-5 days, you’ll need to bring or buy extras like trash bags, dishwasher tabs, and toilet paper, as the supplies are limited. Overall, while we enjoyed our stay, we didn’t feel it was quite worth the value considering the noise and other small inconveniences.

Great place

We have been coming to treasure island for years, and have stayed at the palms many times. The location is great. Beach is right across the street, Publix grocery / liquor store is right beside the condo, and lots of restaurants within walking distance.We were pleasantly suprised to see the building lobby has been renovated (maybe due to hurricane?). The condo was great. It was our first time staying in this unit. It was very nice, much better than some of the other units we have stayed in. The unit is very clean, and comfortable. Great condo!

Had a great time with family during this rental! Condo itself was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The balcony was the largest balcony I’ve ever had that was private, we enjoyed sitting out there every night! Only negative comment about the condo was that the main shower door didn’t close all the way, and water made its way onto the floor causing it to get pretty slippery. Side comment about the property - pool was outstanding and clean, but there was no shade to be found anywhere until the mid afternoon. It seemed like there were old umbrella stands but it would have been nice to have something to have even just a little shade during the day. The elevator also broke during the stay, which was a bummer bringing groceries up flights of stairs and our luggage back down the stairs. I’d definitely recommend this unit to others looking for a nice getaway!

Treasure Island Review

This property is in a great location. The check-in and out process was very easy. The property felt secure with a code to get into the building. The unit itself was a little dirty and the appliances didn’t fully work. The freezer and fridge didn’t get to the correct temperatures. Waters never got cold in the fridge and ice was never formed in the freezer. This was upsetting due to wanting these items for the beach. Overall, a good stay.

great vacation

condo had everything we needed, location was awesome, pool and hot tube great for the kids. communication was quick with owner. a couple small things, get a box spring for the master bedroom and update balcony furniture. no deal breakers though, had a great time and would definitely return.

Needs work

This property is in a great location, has a great view, pool and hot tub. The condo is fairly spacious, but we were frustrated with many things about the property. The room was not clean. From the kitchen floor being filthy, to the layer of dust and grime on top of the refrigerator, to the french fries/ketchup packets/other food that we found in the pull out couch, this room definitely needed a good cleaning. The tub, shower and bedding was clean. More significant of an issue, the king bed was like sleeping on concrete. This wasn’t a firm mattress. I’ve never experienced a bed like it. The elevator was broke down for most of the days of the week that we were there, so we had to carry a lot of heavy stuff up many flights of stairs. From talking to others, this is an ongoing issue. I would advise anyone with mobility issues to avoid this property. The condo does have potential if the issues mentioned are fixed.

Great location!

Just needed a place to sleep while on a scalloping trip. There were a few hairs in the shower and the toilet seat lid was not connected in the master, but nothing that deterred me from enjoying my trip! Beds are firm, just be aware if you’ve got back issues. We enjoyed overlooking the water and having access to the pool. Walking to food and Publix is a huge plus! Over all, we had a great time and would stay again!

I would not stay here again due to the cleanliness. We had to wear shoes because the carpet was so stained and dirty. I have pictures.

Amazing Condo/Location

The check in process was super easy and the place was spotless upon arrival. There is a pool and hot tub right in the bay, a grocery store next door, returns RA within walking distance and the beach across the street.

Pictures on line do not show how unit really looks!

the pictures on line showed a nice unit. Upon arrival, first thing you notice is the filthy carpeting. I am not complaining about the cleaning Co., the sinks, tub, and floors appeared to be clean as was the kitchen. The baseboards were filthy, the doors were dirty. when sitting on couch, you sank to the floor. The stools were too short to use to eat at the counter. We love the area and plan on returning next year ( This will be our 10th year at the Palms) We will just rent a different unit.
