« This place is an absolute gem (and the hosts are wonderful). Extremely clean and well-kept. The kitchen is well-equipped with a variety of cookware and bakeware (we even found a Belgian waffle maker), all in great condition. « We stumbled upon this property after searching for somewhere fun to go for a couple of days during our kids spring break. This property didn’t disappoint! The game room and hot tub were a huge hit. Also, we ventured into WV for a day trip and then came back for a yummy dinner and the kids played pool at the Burn Barrel. « The property was beautiful. The house had everything you might need for a family vacation and it truly made the stay even better. Connie was an amazing host and was happy to answer any and all questions I had during my stay. If we ever travel out that way again. Connie's place is high on the list. My partner works in HVAC and truly loved how everything was neatly labeled and set up. »

« We loved our stay here. The property was super clean and quiet. The hot tub and grill both worked as advertised. One thing worth mentioning is that the last mile of road in is a single lane, gravel road, that not only crosses through what appears to be a creek but is also quite steep and rocky. While we managed in a Tesla model 3, I wouldn’t advise it, particularly if it is wet. »

« The Luxury Moose Retreat was absolutely amazing!! I have stayed at several rental properties in Basye, VA over the years, but this one was outstanding. It's less than 1 mile from Bryce Resort. Drive way large enough for 6-8 cars. The kitchen is spacious, more than enough counter space, high quality utensils, pots, pans, gas stove, there's even a wine fridge! The bedrooms are spacious, bright, clean, beautiful. There was not a single thing during our stay that we were inconvenienced...

"Nous avons passĂ© 3 nuits dĂ©but juillet 2025 Ă  Skyland, et ce fut une expĂ©rience exceptionnelle ! Notre chambre double avec deux lits queen Ă©tait spacieuse, propre et trĂšs confortable. Elle disposait de tout le nĂ©cessaire : TV, Wi-Fi, machine Ă  cafĂ©, et surtout une superbe terrasse avec une vue Ă  couper le souffle sur les montagnes de Shenandoah : un vrai bonheur au lever comme au coucher du soleil. Le personnel a Ă©tĂ© extrĂȘmement accueillant et serviable tout au long du sĂ©jour, ce qui a rendu l’expĂ©rience encore plus agrĂ©able. L’hĂŽtel est idĂ©alement situĂ© au cƓur du parc, parfait pour rayonner sur Skyline Drive et profiter des randonnĂ©es sans passer trop de temps en voiture. Sur place, tout est prĂ©vu pour un sĂ©jour pratique et agrĂ©able : restaurant, bar, boutique, machine Ă  glace, parking gratuit
 (Seul petit point Ă  noter : il n’y a pas de piscine, mais franchement, on ne vient pas ici pour ça !). Nous recommandons chaudement Skyland Ă  tous ceux qui veulent profiter pleinement de Shenandoah NP dans un cadre naturel, calme et authentique. Nous y retournerions sans hĂ©siter !"
