I'm sorry to read this review, Derek, as I was in communication during your stay, as was the property manager, and you didn't express these sentiments to us at all. As you know, the outside siding was scheduled for April but there were supply chain issues and then our contractor had a tragic death in his family which delayed the project further. It certainly wasn't intended to be "underhanded" as we let you know as soon as we knew. I didn't think having some of the outside siding undone would impact your vacation, as the interior of the house was unaffected, but understand your concerns. The TV did work for streaming, but I acknowledge there was some confusion as to which remote to use for cable. We will label the remotes for future guests, so appreciate you making that suggestion. Hi Leeanne, we're very disappointed to read your review. As you know from our communications, we expected the siding to be completed in April or early May, well before your arrival in mid June. In May, when we realized there would be delays, we promptly let you know. At the time, you were very gracious and understanding, explaining that you had run into similar delays with your own home improvement project. Unfortunately we have no control over supply issues slowing down the siding project, could not have predicted a tragic death in the contractor's family which caused him to close down for a short period, nor do we have any control over Florida Light & Power deciding to replace a defective pole, which caused the house to be without power for about an hour. As you know, we offered you a full refund upon your arrival when your husband expressed concern about the scaffolding outside the house. You never responded to my VM or emails asking you to call to discuss other options, including helping you find alternate housing., but chose to stay for the full week as originally planned. We hope you find another house at Kingsley for future visits, that better fits your needs .

We're so glad you and the kids had a good time - it's unfortunate that you didn't see the information in our "House Rules" that get sent out upon booking which clearly says we don't provide bedding & towels. It's just not possible in the middle of a pandemic to share those types of personal items but, as you say, luckily Walmart is just down the street. Thank you for your review.

Hi Tonya, I do apologize for the refrigerator - it was working fine for the prior guest and, as you know, you reported it on a Friday. We did our best to find someone to get out there over the weekend but were unsuccessful. We understand it was an inconvenience, but didn't realize any of your food spoiled. Thank you for your feedback. As you know, our full time tenant had guests over which were unanticipated due to a communication issue at our end. We understand your frustration and will not be renting the big house on Memorial Day weekend again to avoid a recurrence of this issue.
