Honest Review of Our Seaside Sparkling Pool Stay – July 2025We stayed at this property last week for our children’s swim competition in the Stuart area. While there were some positives, there were also several significant concerns that affected our overall experience.Pre-Arrival Communication & Listing Accuracy:About four days prior to our arrival, I contacted the host to confirm sleeping arrangements, as the listing indicated the home accommodated 10 guests. I had noticed from the photos that only 8 actual beds were shown and asked whether the couches were sleeper sofas. The host then admitted the listing was incorrect and that the house only truly accommodated 8 people. We were offered an air mattress or a cancellation. Given that we were traveling during a busy swim competition, last-minute changes were not a feasible option.I communicated with the host, who was receptive to finding a solution. He agreed to provide cots for the extra two guests. The day before our arrival, the property manager, Cary, called me directly and was very transparent. He was unsure exactly how to make everything fit comfortably but promised to try his best. He was extremely responsive and accommodating, which I appreciated.Check-In Experience:Upon arrival, Cary met us at the house—thankfully, as the digital check-in instructions were not working and I had not received a reply through the platform’s messaging system. A Perfect Family Getaway in Stuart

Our multi-generational family vacation at this home in Stuart was fantastic! This house delivered everything we hoped for, and then some. The size was perfect for our family. We offered my in-laws the pool house, which gave them private space while still being part of the action. Meanwhile, the kids love the trundle bed - a big win for our youngest who's ready to make the transition from crib to "big kid" bed.Our kids left the house part fish after spending countless hours in the pool. Between all that swimming and the Florida sunshine, bedtime was a breeze each night.My wife, a Stuart native, enjoyed the property so much she left wanting to buy it because it reminded her of “being on a boat” - a plus in a water town like Stuart - but without the cramped quarters. We couldn't have asked for a better location. The house is perfectly situated for exploring Stuart and the surrounding area, and the property itself had thoughtful touches that make a vacation with kids actually feel like a vacation - books, games, and plenty of space for everyone to spread out.If you're looking for a family-friendly rental in Stuart that pleases everyone from grandparents to toddlers (and parents too), we highly recommend this house. Our family would definitely book again for a future trip to the area.

Looking at the pics before I booked, I had no idea how old this place is. It’s beautiful but the doors & locks were hard to deal with, kept getting locked in & out. Door knobs broken, concrete broken. Lights not working. Broken gate by pool. We had to buy all new pool floats. We had to extend our stay 4 more nites $1000 more. We only stayed 3 nites, they wouldn’t refund. Overall.. these things made our stay harder than it had to be.

Wonderful cottage!

We so enjored our stay at this lovely rustic cottage. The location is covenient to everything you could want or need, and the neighborhood lovely and peaceful. The cottage is at the end of a cul de sac and there is a little pocket park next door. Our dog loved chasing bunnies in the fenced yard out back. Our only regret was the unusually cold wet weather that kept us from enjoying the large veranda and the pool as much as we might have done. Thanks so much to our hosts and their management staff for your hospitality. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!

Great property in a great location

Our family stayed at this property for seven nights and it was great. The main house has amazing character with nice large bedrooms and good size bathrooms. The kitchen is well equipped with nice appliances and well supplied. Dining room has a great table for family dinners or for playing games. Pool house is a great place to stay or use as a place for ppl to get drinks or use the bathroom. Also has a lot of charm.

Great getaway!

Great location, nice neighborhood and only 1 mile from downtown Stuart and all the restaurants and shops. House was charming and just as pictured. Front porch was perfect for enjoying morning coffee with a nice breeze from the water (across the street). Was there for a week with my husband, two kids, mother in-law, two small dogs and had plenty of room for everyone. Loved the finished pool house and made it easy to get cold drinks and use the bathroom while enjoying the pool! Highly recommend and would definetly go back!

Very bad first impression!!!

The location of the property was great. I didn’t receive the “how to enter the home” information until 5:30! We got into the house through an unlocked window. The Casita was also locked but windows left unlocked. The shower curtain in the Casita shower was covered in black slimy mold. We washed it in bleach!! The house needs a deep cleaning! The windows are beautiful but so dirty it is difficult to through them. I have stayed in many VRBO’s this one was the worst. I really feel that I should at least be reimbursed the cleaning fee! I should also be reimbursed for sitting outside the house, an hour and a half after we were supposed to be in. I should also be reimbursed because of the poor communication skills of your property management team. The house is beautiful and it deserves to shine. The property owners need to evaluate if this is the team they want to represent this lovely Craftman home. Chris Fazio

Christmas Getaway

We loved the house and guest house/ pool house. My wife and I let the kids have the main house and we stayed in the guest house. Lots of board games onsite and the pool was fantastic. We drove from Michigan and we were allowed to check in early which helped a great deal! Thank you for accommodating us. Beautiful neighborhood as well. Thanks again for making our annual trip to Florida for Christmas a great experience.

Great Family Vacation Home

Our family really enjoyed this home. It provided everything we needed for our stay. The home has lots of character, a very nice pool and yard space for the kids to play in. Its well located in a quiet neighborhood. When we visit Stuart again, we will definitely be coming back to this property.
